June 4, 2005, Aberdeen, MS., Mayor Cecil Bell signs the Save Our Children Day Proclamation during the Save Our Children Day making it an official, annual event (Peter Love's SOC Concert always conclude the SOC Day). This historic SOC Day is the first ever by a city in the USA. Peter Love, founder of the not for profit, The Peter Love Save Our Children Foundation, is also an accomplished singer, songwriter, performer, and music producer. Even though Love write and perform songs/music of all genres via his - Love Song Enterprises - company, in 2000, he became inspired to write a song to bring awareness to dangers such as abuse, poverty, and neglect that affect all children.

After performing his Save Our Children song at the first annual Save Our Children Day/Concert in Aberdeen, MS., in 2003 and after the song aired on Mix 106 FM during an interview with Mr. Love about his Unforgettable Love Tour/CD, the telephone lines lit up like crazy and the rest is history. In 2005, the first year of the SOC Day/Concert, their Mayor signed a SOC Day Proclamation.
The purpose of the SOC Day is to educate and increase the public's awareness of child abuse and other problems children face on a daily basis. Mr. Love also raise funds for organizations that help our youth. There are so many forms of child abuse that people have no clue of. His most recent song, "Honeybee" for Honeybee the Clown, Heavenly Host Ministries, Orlando, Fl, is a smashing hit. Children are crazy about the song! Love created the "Honeybee Dance" for the kids to dance to while singing the song. He included lyrics that help young children learn to count. What a genius of an idea! Mr. Love also received a SOC Day Recognition Award for the creation of the SOC Day, the highest honor awarded a citizen. And the song is now internationally recognized as the theme song for anti-child abuse.

The 10th of December of this year, 2008, will mark the 60th anniversary of the United Nations Universal Declaration on Human Rights (http://www.unhchr.ch/udhr/lang/eng.htm) which proclaims that every person, including every girl and boy child has inherent dignity, that girls and boys are equal, and have the right not to be abused, tortured, trafficked, discriminated against, or be exploited into any form of servitude or slavery. Each and everyone of us must continue to work to make this Declaration an everyday reality, to ensure that all our girls and boys will one day have the freedom to live their lives with dignity, equality, and respectful of human rights for all.
We thank you Peter for writing the song, A R.A.T. Race to help us tell the world about the kinds of torture including ritual abuse-torture that children suffer. It is a very beautiful and justifiably haunting song and contributes to our work as well as yours to 'Save Our Children'.

The incidences we are fighting are so rampant now, therefore besides a concert which is so important to us, is there any other way you would extend some resources to enable us cause more change in our work because as per now we are contrained with resources and yet we want to exted to other regions of the country where the incedences are mashrooming.e.g the incedence which happened in Kawempe yestereday where Nakacwa was rapped during the ritual practices. This is appoling in the 21st century today.
