Peter Munch, originally from Europe, has been DJing and producing music
for over a decade. A passionate musician, composer, and producer, his talent
and experience are evident in his DJ sets and productions. Over the years,
Peter has brought together his experience and musical insight to formulate his own exceptional sound – a blend of Donna Summer space disco and Trentemøller minimalism, sprinkled with a bit of George Clinton funk. His music continues to be influenced by such classic greats as The Doors, Larry Graham, Stevie Wonder, and Prince, while incorporating new electronic sounds from his world travels such as the experimental Japanese sound, the sexy French house sound, the minimal Berlin sound and the soulful and bouncing New York City sound. Peter explains, “I draw on inspiration from Oscar Peterson to Jimi Hendrix. From an early age I realized that what they had created was something I wanted to create - music that is timeless.” Peter’s DJ sets are timeless as well, ranging from classics to intelligent pop, to deep space and soulful grooves. He is a master at incorporating unique material and integrating filters and hard-hitting effects. Peter’s DJ sets have already found their way to the most influential clubs in New York City, such as Pacha, Crobar, Cielo, Rebel, APT, SpiegelWorld, and East Village Radio. Peter has played along with David Guetta, DJ T.O.M. & Trentemøller, Djuma Soundsystem, Audiofly, and Angel Cielo (Café del mar) to name a few. Peter continues to DJ all over the world, while diligently producing in his studio – about 20 releases in one year alone! Always finding the balance between the classic/organic sound and the electronic sound, we urge you to listen up as Peter Munch takes you on the next journey.

What people in the industry are saying about Peter Munch:
Victor Simonelli: “Really feeling your Productions! Some are deeper that go on a journey, others with that peak time energy. Your material is a welcome pleasure to working the dance floors.”
Barry Lederer: “With so many DJs today turning their aspirations to record productions, you inevitably get a deluge of mediocre music. That is why it is so refreshing to come across Peter Munch. Having made his mark as a top DJ in Europe, he has turned his efforts to recording electronic/house/blues inspired cuts on his own label Cosmopolitan Records. The result is a fresh and unique sounding approach to the endless similar sounding music that is around today. Take a walk through his eclectic but catchy collection on Beatport which should be a wake-up to others -- Peter Munch has arrived.”
Mikkas from
Djuma Soundsystem: “Ubercool tracks. Peter Munch’s Gone Space Trippin -Love the vibes on this one! Great for warming up or that Sunday come down. Back to Back (Jetlag Cph chill mix) Great remix! Moody as hell!”
Aaron Carl: “Back to Back is a killer – Detroit is watching you.”
Chris Cowie: “Digging your tracks, there is something familiar about them, but in a cool way :)”
Alex Pearce:
"Dude - the track is tight!" (Return of The Killer Ghost)
Andrew Grant:
"very good tracks...I luv this sound!! (Return of The Killer Ghost)"
Bon Johnson: Good early crunchy tweaky bizness.. can def. find room for it in some of my sets. (Return of The Killer Ghost)"
