Peter Munch, originally from Europe, has been DJing and producing music
for over a decade. A passionate musician, composer, and producer, his talent
and experience are evident in his DJ sets and productions. Over the years,
Peter has brought together his experience and musical insight to formulate his own exceptional sound – a blend of Donna Summer space disco and Trentemøller minimalism, sprinkled with a bit of George Clinton funk. His music continues to be influenced by such classic greats as The Doors, Larry Graham, Stevie Wonder, and Prince, while incorporating new electronic sounds from his world travels such as the experimental Japanese sound, the sexy French house sound, the minimal Berlin sound and the soulful and bouncing New York City sound. Peter explains, “I draw on inspiration from Oscar Peterson to Jimi Hendrix. From an early age I realized that what they had created was something I wanted to create - music that is timeless.” Peter’s DJ sets are timeless as well, ranging from classics to intelligent pop, to deep space and soulful grooves. He is a master at incorporating unique material and integrating filters and hard-hitting effects. Peter’s DJ sets have already found their way to the most influential clubs in New York City, such as Pacha, Crobar, Cielo, Rebel, APT, SpiegelWorld, and East Village Radio. Peter has played along with David Guetta, DJ T.O.M. & Trentemøller, Djuma Soundsystem, Audiofly, and Angel Cielo (Café del mar) to name a few. Peter continues to DJ all over the world, while diligently producing in his studio – about 20 releases in one year alone! Always finding the balance between the classic/organic sound and the electronic sound, we urge you to listen up as Peter Munch takes you on the next journey.
