NEWS FOR 2009: Two feature films have been shot (one in Los Angeles and one in Alaska) based on scripts rewritten according to Peter's analyses. Both of them are now in post-production. Peter was chosen, along with other produced screenwriters, to contribute a practical exercise to the screenwriter's handbook, "Now Write! Screenwriting", out in bookstores later this year. Also in 2009, Peter will be interviewed about his work by radio show hostess, Neshia, on Burbank's digital internet radio station, 925thewhy.com.

PRODUCER:
In partnership with New York Film Group, Peter is producing the theatrical feature, Vengeance, from his own script. Principal photography: 2009. Attachments: Director, Vahe Babaian (After Freedom) and interested stars: L'il Romeo, Theresa Russell, Malcolm McDowell, and more to come. Budget is five million. Seed money has been raised.
Peter co-executive-produced SPEAK TO THE WORLD, a pilot for an interview show for cable television. He also co-produced and co-wrote DOUBLE CROSS, a half-hour suspense drama for cable, which was offered a worldwide distribution deal within a month of its completion.
Additionally, Peter was a founding partner and Senior Vice President of Creative Affairs of BlueSky Pictures, an Anglo-Dutch film company which, in concert with Creative Artists Agency, in Los Angeles, developed a motion picture package with Antonio Banderas attached to star, and Michael Cristofer attached to direct.
As head of Creative Affairs, Peter was responsible for making recommendations on all projects submitted to the company, and to advise the CEO of their quality and produceability. In that company, Peter was also involved in raising financing, packaging directors and stars, and getting distributor interest. As such, Peter developed relationships for the company with senior executives at Universal Pictures, Miramax, Sony Pictures Classics and Fox Searchlight Pictures.

WRITER:
An actor who was nominated for both a Golden Globe and an Oscar in 2006, has been in discussions for Peter to write a dramatic feature film for him.
Peter developed a screenplay with Best Picture Oscar winner Fred Roos. This script was later being packaged by the William Morris Agency and, as of 2009, has sparked the interest of a Canadiana producer.
Peter's script, The Meshugana Brothers, was awarded an Honorable Mention in the 2005 Thunderbird International Film Festival Screenplay Competition. Creative Artists Agency, the most powerful talent agency in the film industry, has expressed an interest in helping to finance the project.
Peter has written for hire, sold or optioned ten feature scripts and has written/co-written/consulted on 41 different independent film, television and theater projects --- (20 of the 41 were for pay, including 15 produced public service announcements or short films and 4 feature scripts optioned). His suspense/drama, Double Cross, (which he co-wrote/co-produced), was shot in Malibu, California and was offered a worldwide distribution agreement within a month of its completion.
His romantic comedy, The Pickup, was produced for the cable medium. His Chapters in Black American History have aired many times on U.S. syndicated television. His play, John Brown and Frederick Douglass, was produced for the stage.
Additionally, three of his feature treatments, and one full script, are optioned and in the development and/or packaging stages with Bluewater Productions, an independent, Los Angeles development and production company. In 2008, Peter rewrote a martial arts script for Green Mantis Productions as well as a romantic comedy/satire for K'n'K Productions, on which he's a co-producer. (The latter company is also going into development in 2009 on one of Peter's passion projects, an ensemble drama for the big screen).
Peter started off 2009 by acting as a script consultant on two features in production which were shot in January and February (in Los Angeles and Alaska), using scripts rewritten according to Peter's analyses. Also, in 2009, Peter was hired to rewrite a feature drama, and will be going into negotiations shortly on two more script assignments. 2009 will be busy!

NEED PROFESSIONAL FEEDBACK ON YOUR SCRIPT?
Spot-on script analyses done!
Do you want to take your script to the next level, so it will sell quickly and be made into a great film? Do you also want some feedback on what to do in a rewrite, or on whether the script is ready for the marketplace?
I will give you a spot-on script analysis which shows you both the strong points of your script, which you should NOT change, as well as areas needing improvement.
In contrast to simple coverage, my analyses are extensive write-ups which deal, in specifics, with all the areas which need work in order to make the piece succeed in the marketplace. Having been the senior creative exec in a production company, I can look at material from a producer's vantage point, as well as a writer's.
I've gotten sharp enough at this that the last writer for whom I recently did an analysis, was so pleased that she is recommending me to her writer friends. In 2009, two films were produced only after having been rewritten according to my script analysis recommendations.
I am also producing one of my own scripts in 2009 on a budget of $5 million, so I can definitely give you feedback from the viewpoint of a producer!
My fee is $250.00 and I have a one- to two-week turnaround. You can reach me at 323-821-7349, 323-464-8537 or email me at peterdavidmyers@gmail.com. Screenwriter client testimonials are shown below.
I look forward to hearing from you and to helping you make a great script, which sells, and is made into a satisfying and commercially successful film!

TESTIMONIAL LETTERS FROM SCREENWRITER CLIENTS OF MINE:
Peter -
I just wanted to personally thank you for the superlative script analysis you provided on my teen thriller/horror script GINGERBREAD. I incorporated many of your well thought out notes and as a result I'm having unprecedented success.
Just this past week, I received a phone call from Creative Screenwriting Magazine informing me that GINGERBREAD took Third Place (out of 3,500 submissions) in their AAA Competition. Needless to say, I was utterly shocked. Especially, because GINGERBREAD is a teen thriller/horror that would not normally be recognized in such a way.
The screenplay is now going out to 350 agencies and production companies around the town. Prior to this win, GINGERBREAD was also a Top Twenty script at the Slamdance Horror Competition and an Honorable Mention at this past year's Screenwriting Expo in Los Angeles. I'm already being contacted by Managers to see if I'm repped.
Thanks so much Peter. You really made a huge difference!
Best,
Dirk Levinsohn

Peter, thank you for this analysis. I love it. Last night I read it and it was wonderful. Many of the areas that I was not sure about, at the time of writing, you found and commented on. Interesting how there are so many things that pop up that I did not anticipate. Therefore my format in certain areas was only my own invention and thus you found these inventions as unacceptable format. Thank god that thecomputer program does most of the formating. This one book "The screenwriters Bible, 3rd Edition" is great. Sounds like you wrote it. I really should have read it long ago. Now that I have experience writing, the book makes more sense and I understand and can relate to what it discusses. So I think your analysis was most valuable now, and it blends in with my accelerated learning program relative to this profession. Your suggestions in all the areas will be invaluable in getting this project to a higher level. I really appreciate your thorough evaluation and suggestions. Thanks for being so complete in your analysis and time and cost efficient.
With Warmest Regards,
Brad Batchelor

Peter Myers evaluation and analysis of my screenplay was key in
assisting toward its re-write and completion.
Peter first evaluated what was strong about my screenplay. No
condescending screenplay bashing going on here! I felt respected as an artist
and encouraged to write on, not stifled or discouraged as so often
individuals who we trust our precious ..babies" with do.
From there he critiqued for continuity and consistency of story and
style. He helped me evaluate what was superfluous so I would have a tight,
moving story. I felt his expert help got me beyond barriers that I
would not otherwise been aware of. I very highly recommend Peter for his
expertise as a writer/analyst and as a person who can be safe and
trustworthy with such a delicate task!
Sincerely, Cassandra Spencer, Los Angeles, Calif.

Peter was able to help clarify for me weak points on my current project,
discover the scenes that were not contributing to the message and/or story,
grammatical and continuity errors and over all direction.
I would highly recommend him for script analysis.
Sincerely,
Dharma Wright, Los Angeles, Calif.

Peter Myers did a thorough script analysis for me on my soccer-related script. He examined all levels in the piece and told me exactly what I had to do to make it better. I would recommend him to anyone seeking a spot-on analysis of their screenplay.

To Whom It May Concern:
I am associated with a French actor/writer, and hired Peter Myers to do an analysis on the script, PINK LIMO. He gave me a 5 1/2-page, single-spaced analysis, which covered all the things needed on how to make the script better. He looked at the project from the creative and marketing angles. He didn..t get into destructive criticism, but laser-beamed right to what should be worked on to make the script work fully. He understood the genre, but also discussed many details like story beats and dialogue needing improvement. Plus, he showed knowledge of how greenlighting decisions are made in Hollywood. I would hire him again, as the need arises, and would recommend him to any writer as a competent script analyst.
Sincerely,
Karin Zatt, Westwood, Calif.
