Peter has been writing songs most of his life. He has written ballads, easy listening, and rock n' roll music. Having composed over one hundred songs, his music is registered with the Library of Congress, BMI and all are copyright protected.
Peter has performed at many local venues in and around the Boston area, such as, The Main Street Market & Café, The Parish Center for the Arts, King Hooper Café, The Emerson Umbrella, The Continental Café & Bakery, Twice Told Tale, The Center for the Arts in Natick and The Paradise Lounge. Peter also has appeared at The Grog, The Rhumb Line, Passim's, as well as numerous other venues in and around Massachusetts, Florida and San Diego, CA!
Peter has been featured on many local cable access television programs, and was featured on the Acoustic Showcase sponsored by Euphoria Sound Studios of Revere, MA. Recently Peter has been getting lots of airplay on 95.9 WADT-FM and Front Porch Radio station. Peter has collaborated with many national artists such as Denny Hemingson of the Dance Hall Doctors, as well as several local musicians from Boston to California and every place in between.
Peter's first twelve-song CD titled "For You" was released in 1995 and songs from that CD are still being requested today. His second CD titled "Peter Day By Night" was released in 2001 and is also a huge success among Peter's fans.
"Nashville Style," Peter's four-song music compilation was recorded in Nashville, TN, by the legendary engineer Jim Lightman and was released in 2005. The music, the sound and that Peter Seltser one and only sound, keeps you coming back for more.
The newest CD, “East Blends West,” was recorded, engineered and mixed by the distinguished Alan Sanderson of San Diego, CA. It has five new songs and is making many ears perk up and take notice of his sultry, retro crooning style. His guitar playing and vocals are soulful, smooth, and timeless.
Recently, Peter was recognized as a runner-up in the December 2006 round of the Song of the Year song and lyric competition sponsored by VH-1. You may view this award by linking to the "Web Award" page at:
