About Peter Shuy

Peter Shuy was born in the 80's, a decade when the Information Age began and rock and punk were renewed. Early influenced by his pianist grandfather, Peter writes his first songs on a Bontempi piano drawing inspiration from contemporary kid tv shows; Ferdy, The fables of the Green Forest, Belle and Sebastian, Fraggles, Sport Billy…Later on, by the age of 14, an interest for the dramatic and fine arts arises and so Shuy takes up photography, collages, painting and representation…By 1996 Peter enters the Cegada Theatre Company and sets up a band which first performance takes place in 1997 at The Ritz Club – a renowned Lisbon club. Nowadays his creativity is divided between the musical, dramatic and fine arts – new releases in these areas are to be expected.

And then 5 minutes of time in the future makes you remember great moments of your life that makes you smile to the future (and puts you a brighly teeth, so you don't need colgate fresh). A simple 5 minutes of music can do that... [a simple 2,6 minutes of music can do that... a simple 20 minutes of music no... a simple 1 seconds of music, yes (if it is mine)]. A simple 5 minutes of music can change your mood, your way of looking and that one you're looking at (can change your eyes colour). Can show you lots of places, lots of colours, lots of lyrics, lots of sounds, lots of moments, lots of feelings (lots of naked hot girls). When the moments are good, the music you heard on them, are also good. And then, later, you hear that music again. You remember the moments and the good feelings you had, and you fall in love with the music, and most important, with you (you're already falen with me). I want to put you good feelings and to make you believing, but I can't. Satan worshipping, an overused topic in pop music is just the straw that allowed the struggle between the two artists to begin: a patchwork of microsongs in which each one of them tries to annihilate the other’s style, a record that ranges between love ditties, doom-noise cants, and irreverent & wild tarantellas (ehm.... maybe i’m overstating now). .
