I am currently playing solo, drawing on songs I have written for and with previous bands (see listings). I am working on new material and looking for a bass player and drummer to form a new band. Anyone wishing to participate please get in touch. I am looking to publish my original material and would love to hear my songs performed by new and/or established acts. Publishers comments welcome.
I am also gigging as a three-piece under the name SW3 (www.myspace.com/sw3uk). The line-up for SW3 is my better half Janemarie Taylor (nee Whitehorn) on vocals, Del Edwards on vocals and guitar and myself on vocals and guitar. The music varies from folk through americana country to pop.
Previously I have been the singer / songwriter for the following bands.
The Flagmen - Punk popsters from 1983 - 1987. The Flagmen flirted with fame until implosion as often is the case.
The Red Guitars - Country rockers from 1991-1995. The Red Guitars had too many line-ups to mention individual band members but fondest memories of Dennis Abbott (melodian) long since taken from us and still missed.
Tilt - 1994-1996. My brief affair with all things funk/rock/reggae. Based out of West Wales including some of the most talented musicians I have had the pleasure of playing with.
Citron - 1996-1998. Citron were an indie pop guitar band involving two of my longest and closest friends, Norman Hooks (now residing in Spain) on guitar and Chris Neame on bass.
Transformer - 2000-2001. Indie rockers featuring ex Saluko - Mild Mannered Janitors bassist Matt Tye and drummer Rick Weaver. Transformer were too good to end but too wrecked too last.
Sweetheart - 2001-2004. Country pop lovers taking their name and their style from the late great Gram Parsons and his 'Sweetheart of the Rodeo' Byrds collaboration.
If anyone is interested in being part of the next 25 years please get in touch.
Thanks Peter. x.
