I think the need to be honest to emotions and expressing them has been central throughout my life. Since 17, I've been writing and singing music.
The heart is central to all and is featured in my first CD Seasons. Social justice is also a critical and featured in the 2nd CD that is now finally being recorded. Life has taken me to Africa, Australia, Europe, Latin America, Asia the USA and taught me much the depth of human experience and culture, technology, and the fragility of our world. Spent many years trying to reduce poverty, produce food and improve the health of our Earth especially in mountains. My music has been much and influenced by these experiences. You can find more information about this phase of my life at www. Globalmountainprogram.org or Cornell University's International IPM site. However, all said and done, I've learned that the most effective way to influence this world is to change ourselves. As Mahatma Gandhi once said, we must become what we want to world to be. And that ain't easy!
The first Album, Seasons is about a journey. It features great musicians like Grammy Award Winner, Joanie Madden on Irish whistle and flute, guitar virtuosos Jim Kimball and Walter Strauss, percussionist Eric Darken, renowned cellist Hank Roberts, and base player Doug Robinson with vocal backing and from Annie Burns of the Burns Sisters Band. The product is a style that includes Celtic, folk, pop, rock, jazz and blues styles interlaced with harmonies. There is also a website: www.petertrutmann.com. I hope you'll enjoy it.
Take good care and hope our paths cross soon.
