This isn't your "cry in your beer because your ex-wife just ran over your dog while pulling out of your driveway" type of country. Pete Whitfield Band has taken their influences from both rock as well as old and modern country to form a sound that can only be described as rowdy rock country. Along with this sound you get an intense, high-energy, often times funny, crowd inducing show with wide ranging mix of popular covers and crowd pleasing, radio ready originals about beer, girls, and life on the road. This caliper show is rarely seen at this level.
While PWB may be considered a relatively new band (having formed in early'07), the experience that comes with each band member is far from rookie. Having collectively played shows with national recording acts such as Bare Naked Ladies, Lynard Skynard, Creed, Blessid Union of Souls, Black Crows, Montgomery Gentry, Tonic, Sister Hazel, Men at Work, Edwin McCain, Nick Lache, amongs a list of others, each member comes to the table as a music industry veteran and it truly shows.
In the short time that this four-piece has been together, they have been packing out bar after bar playing in front of crowds as large as 2,000 in venues covering the Southeast and Midwest and have been continuing to grow a large base of fans that proves their dedication weekly by frequently traveling large distances to catch PWB shows. With a new CD hitting the market, PWB's future is looking very bright.
