Après des études de percussions et de batterie au conservatoire ainsi qu’à l’école de jazz de Lausanne, il se produit intensivement sur les scènes européennes avec de nombreux projets. Depuis son arrivée à Berlin en 2004, influencé par la richesse culturelle de la ville, il réoriente ses activités artistiques et développe un travail pointu, mélangeant art vidéo, peinture, sculpture et musique électronique. Il est également un des membres fondateurs du groupe MONNO (avec Gilles Aubry, Antoine Chessex et Derek Shirley) qui a enregistré trois albums et donné plus d’une centaine de concerts à travers toute l’Europe en clubs et en festivals. Entre 2004 et 2007, il collabore avec l’artiste visuel et multimédia japonais Soichiro Mitsuya. Leur collaboration débouche sur de nombreuses performances dans les galeries et clubs berlinois. Leur approche artistique comprends des installations sonores, de la sculpture, de la vidéo, des field recordings et des textures électroniques en direct. En 2007, ils sont artistes en résidences au centre d’art « La Générale » à Paris et se produisent aux Instants Chavirés à Montreuil. Des dizaines d’heures de performances et de « work in progress » documentent leur travail. En 2008, Fantini est invité en Irlande pour travailler avec la compagnie de danse « input/output» . Fantini compose et réalise la musique live du spectacle et donne plusieurs représentations live à Dublin. De retour à Berlin, il créera « Arbeiten am TX symbol » avec le contrebassiste et compositeur allemand Willehad Grafenhorst. Fantini collabore régulièrement avec le guitariste et laptop performer irlandais Keith O’brien. Ils travaillent dans divers contextes du duo à l’ensemble, et donnent de nombreux concerts à travers l’ Europe. En 2008, Fantini travaille également dans un projet de performances live avec l’artiste suisse Joke Lanz (Sudden Infant). Depuis 2008, il participe au centre artistique NK à Berlin qui développe et organise des workshops et concerts pour des artistes internationaux. Parallèlement à son activité à NK, il développe un projet en solo « petite musique apocalyptique » fruit de ses nombreuses expériences artistiques. Le projet mélange vidéo et textures sonores. Ce travail, en développement permanent, est une transcription audio-visuelle des paramètres anthropologiques et sociaux expérimentés par l’artiste.
