About Petko Kanev and Trakiisko Nastroenie Orchestra
Hello all.My name is Petko Kanev.I was born in 1982 in Plovdiv Bulgaria. My family have been several generations of musicians and kavalplayers. Play the kaval from 5-6 years old. Man who first introduced me to the magic of this wonderful musical instrument is my grandfather Ivan Kanev which is kavalplayer.It is actually my first teacher and he has shown the first steps in mastering this difficult musical instrument. The kaval for me is one of the most beautiful traditional Bulgarian folk instruments which provide vast culture of Bulgaria.I graduated from primary and secondary education in school "L. Karavelov" City Plovdiv of Music classes (1989-2001). During this period of my development I had the pleasure to have some of the best teachers of the kaval as Valery Marinov, Todor Todorov, Nikola Ganchev, Stoyan Velichkov. Then I graduated in the period 2001-2006 the Academy of Music and Dance Arts in Plovdiv, and I am graduate master's degree kaval and folklore music.Teacher at the academy is Lyuben Dossev also during this period of my development I have learned from the great masters of the kaval as Theodosii Spassov Nedyalko Nedyalkov, Matio Dobrev. In all my studies in the academy I am a soloist in the orchestra of the Academy representative orchestra manager professor Milcho Vassilev. Since 2007 I am a soloist of the orchestra Ensemble for folk songs and dances "Pazardzhik" where I work and currently. I played with many famous orchestras such as wedding orchestra Brestovitsa,FolkPalitra orchestra,Konushenski folk orchestra,Rodopi orchestra and a many others.Currently I am leader of the Thrakiisko Nastroenie Orchestra.We play traditional Bulgarian folk music, Bulgarian wedding music,Own music and Balkan music.I am a composer of our beautiful music.We have many events in the country and around the world.Band is created by Petko Kanev in 2001 there were many good musicians played names like: Todor Panayotov, Todor Yankov, Kolio Zaprianov, Dima Spassova, Aneliya Sinikliyska, Stamen Gardzhev, Kalin Videv, Petar Nikolov, Ivan Yordanov, Bojan Atanasov.Currently the band are working very good musicians, all of which are graduate.Leader of the orchestra and kavalplayer Petko Kanev, clarinet Pavel Semenov, Yavor Kumanov accordion, synthesizer and bagpipe Chavdar Todorov, soloists of the orchestra and singers are Anna Draganova, Theodora Malamova and Nikola Zaprianov.

Your music is very beautiful! i like this, very much! I love the music Bulgaria. I knew a little more to the music, through the voices of the Bulgarian series Xena Warrior Princess, the music of the introduction of the series begins with the Kaval Svri, is very very nice!
