I have become what I believe is quite the makeup snob,.. I was relieved when he said Vanessa could do the makeup, because we are so anxious for a strong futuristic look, trying to "bring it" and didn't have many options... anyone that I felt could go beyond the basic face, not that there is not a method to the basic face, but you know, sometimes when these artists get "artistic" its a mess with no relation to anything. I do credit ALOT of this pickiness to you... So who better than to create Saturday's masterpieces than YOU.
I am trying to confirm the models for Sat now. Dealing with Supreme is sometimes a challenge as the models get booked for jobs quickly. Carolyn Demarqui who is a rising star I was supposed to shoot her last year... hope it works this time. The other model Lea I like her because she has an edge with beauty mixed in...

When I first found your advertising in Craigslist, I was so skeptical,.. because I had unpleasant experiences taking a make up class once. I went back to your web-site a couple of times and decided to call you.

You wont believe me but I have witnesses. I picked every single picture that you picked for my book, only I had one of Angela in front of the wooden doors and also one of Margo in the turquoise coat that I liked as well, but that one shows the same make up as the profile shot that you picked in the black coat so I guess it is unnecessary. I was hoping I would have an eye for what works... you have taught me well in so many ways. .. What you wrote in this e-mail is how I describe my feeling towards you to everyone. I am so proud to be your first "baby" ..and I know I am going to continue to make you proud. I have to work at that place that we wont speak of today from 2-8 and tomorrow from 11-7 so we will have to speak early tomorrow if you can! Thank you so much for getting these to me so promptly. You know I was very anxious to see them and, of course, to show them to my loved ones. I need to take some time to figure out which pics really work the best, but I think you have trained me well enough to find the best. Obviously I am the most anxious to see Martin's. His work is all a mystery to me, but I kind of like it that way. Should I wait to pick any before I see his, or am I picking Itaysha's separate from Martin's? Just let me know. It is sooooo much fun looking through them all and remembering each day. I will cherish this experience forever, and know that all of our intense hard work paid off.
You should feel so good about what you are doing for your students, I know I would not have been able to do it without you... Please give my e-mail to anyone who has questions regarding retail or your school and I will tell them exactly how I feel about it...it was a gift from god, and I mean that with all my heart. I am already having NYC withdrawals, but it is nice to be home with my boyfriend. He is so impressed and can really see a difference in my work. He is also impressed with your character and what you are trying to accomplish. .. He knows that integrity is rare in this field because I have complained to him about not fitting in with the whole industry before.

Looking at your makeup artist page I see that you worked for Streeters – I assisted some of the hairstylist many years ago from Streeters – Eugene Souleiman and his team. There's so much I want to say, but I'll keep it brief I know you are a busy woman. Thank you so much. I enjoyed the make-over. You did a wonderful job and I got so many compliments. Even my friend who tends not to like makeup told me I did not look overly made up at all! He loved it! And the brows, this is the way I have always envisioned my brows, but no one in the past was ever able to achieve it. This is the best my eyebrows have ever looked -period. I was impressed by your etiquette and savvy...
The measures that you take to ensure a clean, organised, sanitary work station is also impressive. I am currently studying microbiology so I really appreciate the fact that you are mindful of germs and bacteria. I have observed micro-organisms under a microscope-they are real! . Alcohol is very effective for removing most bacteria. So I was very happy that you used alcohol and very happy that you do not "double dip". See you tomorrow.

Letter to Miss Evelyn
When I first made the decision to learn professional makeup, I visited about 8 different school. After all the research, I found 2 schools to be very appealing. I prayed and asked the Lord to guide me in making the right decision. Finally, He led me to Petra Alexandra, Inc.
As classes went on, I began to see the importance of taking notes and having individual lessons as opposed to group lessons. Miss Evelyn finally explained the importance of having the right tools and making everything look professional. I have learned how to improvise/great illusions with different types of makeup and also that popular name brands do not always matter. Miss Evelyn was very personable and I like the fact that she showed me the work of former students.
I am thankful to God for leading me to Petra Alexandra, Inc. and I thank Miss Evelyn for giving me the skills that I need to work in this highly competitive industry.
