    Sergey Petrov (born in 1976 in Magadan) is a professional musician from Saint-Petersburg (Russia), cultivating variety-jazz style in playing accordion. Today Sergey is the only professional musician in Russia, promoting such music styles as Zydeco and Cajun,Forro,Gipsy jazz and musette. In 1991 Sergey entered the Saint-Petersburg music college named for M. Musorgski. Afterwards he graduated from the Saint-Petersburg University for Culture as conductor. Composing of music became his primary interest. Later Sergey participated in television competition for composers. He composed music for TV-programs, took part in popular TV-shows. Sergey has got wide performing experience: Gipsy band, Jewish theatre, Cossack-band (in Europe), different music genres and different bands accompany all his life. Sergey has been working in collaboration with the famous actress Ksenia Arseniyeva in the project “The button” where he made original arrangement of old Russian songs. Sergey performed in France, Germany, Italy, Denmark, Finland, Baltic countries, took part in the concert for Belgian princess Stephanie, private concert for the President of Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. On his European tour Sergey got acquainted with Richard Galliano. This meeting had determined his main music interest – jazz accordion. Almost every year Sergey takes part in international music festivals: «Usadba Jazz Festival» (Arkhangelskoe Park, just outside of Moscow), Accordion and button accordion festival (Daugavpils/Latvia and Palanga/Lithuania), «Fusion», «Zydeco&Cajun festival» (Germany); «Citta di Castelfidardo» (Italy) and many others. Nowadays Sergey Petrov plays in several own musical projects: «Zydeco Project», «Chanson Defile», «French cocktail», «ELITE». «Zydeco Project» is the own musical project of Sergey Petrov. Zydeco music style, created in New Louisiana, is based on Creole music, including blues and r’n’b elements. Zydeco style harmonically combines forro, musette, Cajun music and even Balkan motives. «Zydeco Project» is absolutely original music, major dance project performed by accordion, saxophone, guitar, bass-guitar and drum set/percussion. «Chanson Defile» is the band, performing in style of romantic French chanson. The ensemble was founded after acquaintance of Sergey and Сatherine Loriot singer. Since 2006 the band performs on different events and has got big success among French music lovers. Due to Andrey Kogan - trumpet player – in 2008 the band’s got new sound – French chanson and musette. «French cocktail» – is the soloistic project of Sergey Petrov, reflecting all the beauty and brilliance of accordion sound. «French cocktail» is the splendid mix of graceful French melodies, light performing manner, virtuosic passages. Each appearance of «French cocktail» on the scene with rhythm section is full of love and romantic atmosphere. «ELITE» - is an extraordinary and absolutely unconventional in it’s’ style music project, which includes accordion, harmonica and rhythm section. «ELITE» project was composed after ten years of creative work. The music was inspired on the impressions of Sergey’s meetings with different people. Romantic melodies are combined with jazz, bi-bop and bossa-nova, jams are combined with traditional rhythmic of swing. ......
