The brain-child of former Latex Generation bassist Tommy Rockstar and Weston frontman Dave Weston, New York's Pet Sematary was born in the early days of 2006 with the goal of reincarnating the spirit of one of the world's most influential punk bands: The Ramones! To round out this star-studded tribute's lineup, Rockstar and Weston have newly enlisted bassist Mike "Hairdu" Howells and legendary LES drummer Joe Vincent(Swinging Neckbreakers, The Pristines, Devil Dogs).
Saddened by the loss of the Ramones' original members, Pet Sematary aims to fill a certain void that, until now, seemed unable to be filled. By recreating the Ramones' infamous and energetic live performance, fans young & old alike can now have an opportunity to witness what some may never have been able to experience in the past.
So what exactly should you expect from a Pet Sematary live show?
For starters, lots of laughs! Likewise, an exacting yet comedic replication of the patented performances and imagary that the Ramones themselves pioneered. In a dedicated attempt to recreate the unique personas & mannerisms of each memember of the Ramones, Pet Sematary puts the emphasis on an eerily similar visual display by incorporating classic costumes & wigs - in addition to the energetic pace of the set that Ramone's fans around the world have come to know & love.
From the opening theme of 'The Good, The Bad and the Ugly' to the closing imagery of bouncing 'Gabba Gabba Hey!' signs (as well as occasional 'surprise guest appearances' by some legendary characters associated with the Ramones), Pet Sematary's unmistakable live show promises nothing short of non-stop fun and excitement!
Look for performances this year at some of NYC's premiere venues as the band begins to prepare for what should be an exciting and groundbreaking year. So come on down and help keep the dream... alive!

"We were playing so much that it was getting easier and easier, so we didn't think about the tempos getting faster. But I do feel that the speed interfered with the original intent of the groove; it was too fast." -Marky Ramone
