About me:

Pet Snakes is a website dedicated to keeping snakes as pets. We seek to educate people about these wonderful creatures and impart the knowledge we've learned as we go alone.

We don't claim to be experts only hobbyists that have a true appreciation of snakes. It is an appreciation we hope to pass on to others through our passion for them.

Who I'd like to meet:

Anyone and everyone who is interested in keeping snakes as pets. I'd also like to meet anyone who just has a basic interest in snakes, and reptiles in general.

Please contact us if you are a "captive bred only" reptile breeder.

    Hi,
I have a 8year old diamond python, that has some pinkish discolouration, on her bunderbelly, Ive never seen before.I live in Australia in the snakes native are.She is kept in a clean tank.
Im quite concern she may have developed scale-rot, and  being told there was nothing wrong with her initally, its got worse, so-trying to avoid as costly vet visit, if anyone can sugesst a possible diagnosis from experience, I would geatly appreciate.
She shed a few weeks ago, and since then has lost alot of scales and the pinkish parts are getting larger on her belly.
I will mail you if you contact me if you like.Cheers  Any advice would be appreciated>Thanjs Heather
