Sounds Like
Sinatra + James Taylor + a trumpet + some attitude
Singer/songwriter, Pez Wilson, evokes feelings of a bygone era when the martinis were dry, the jokes were drier and jazz was more than just a basketball team in Utah. Wielding a voice somewhere between a croon and a petition with a trumpet held at the ready, Pez is set to bring his soulful brand of modern pop/jazz hybrid to audiences worldwide with his newest EP, which will be available at live shows, online, and on Pez's website on a "pay what you want" basis.
Pez's experience as a theatrical and film composer and his love of jazz is a clever foundation for a solid pop album. Accompanied by the trio of Andy Langham on piano, Edwin Livingston on bass and Jimmy Paxson on drums, whose combined experience includes backing Stevie Nicks, Willie Nelson, Ray Price and Queen Latifa, Pez will appeal to anyone who's a fan of modern pop, but longs for the days when blues, the Brill Building, and jazz ruled the airwaves.

Hey, man. I was DJing a wedding reception last weekend and playing a dinner set of jazz/standards type stuff. I threw in "1953", "Just Like Heaven" and "Broken Rose". People loved it! A few people asked me who it was. Anyway, we've gotta catch up some time soon and I've gotta plan a trip out there soon as well!
Hey, man. Love the EP! Sounds great! Love the arrangements and really dig "1953". Great tune! I'm workin' on an EP myself. Should be done soon! I've gotta get out there again soon!
Hey, man! Had a dream the other night that I saw a video of yours on TV! Hope you're doing well and enjoyin' the holiday season! I've started to play out. I did the Cafe Coco open mic tonight. I guess the next step is The Basement. What's been happenin' out your way?
Hey everyone, someone or some program spoofed my myspace account- that's why you may have received some crazy message from me. I changed the security settings- hopefully it won't happen again!
Hi Pez - Great meeting you last night and thanks for getting the band like you did. We're sure proud of what we're doing, but it's always cool to see when people really get it. See you soon...
Cool, bro! There's definitely more in the works. Yeah, the Basement would be a good spot. I've met a few friends recently that might wanna help me pull the stuff off live. So, it will happen! That's awesome that you've got another gig coming up! I'd love to be able to check it out! You're gonna have to put some of it up on youtube or something! ;) talk to ya soon.
