About me:
OUR VISION:
We, the parents, families and friends of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender persons, celebrate diversity and envision a society that embraces everyone, including those of diverse sexual orientations and gender identities. Only with respect, dignity and equality for all will we reach our full potential as human beings, individually and collectively. PFLAG welcomes the participation and support of all who share in, and hope to realize this vision.
JOIN US: We meet each month to serve as a confidential support group and to hear an informative speaker from the Naples, Florida area. All meetings are confidential. If you are gay, lesbian, transgender, bisexual or questioning, or if you are a parent whose child has recently come out, we offer safe space and a loving environment for you!
Who I'd like to meet: We meet on the third Thursday of each month from 7 to 9 PM at the Naples United Church of Christ, at 5200 Crayton Road, Naples, 34103. Call (239) 513-4568 or e-mail info@PFLAGnaples.org for more details.
OUR MISSION:
PFLAG promotes the health and well-being of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender persons, their families and friends through: support, to cope with an adverse society; education, to enlighten an ill-informed public; and advocacy, to end discrimination and to secure equal civil rights. Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays provides opportunity for dialogue about sexual orientation and gender identity, and acts to create a society that is healthy and respectful of human diversity.
About this page: I have been very active in Domestic Violence causes all of my adult life. I noticed a need in the world pertaining to Same Sex Domestic Violence. It happens more than people know. Unfortunately there are a number of gay people who barely consider themselves worthy or valued as a gay person much less a Domestic Violence Victim. There are also very limited resources, statistics, or information, for Same Sex Domestic Violence. Hopefully through empowerment and education we can change some of this. :D
And thank you for accepting the add. I used to be friends with a PFLAG member who moved to your area. I'm not sure if she was ever involved in your chapter, but she was instrumental in starting a chapter here in Michigan--the same one where I eventually became a very active PFLAG member myself. Her name was Brenda Joyce. I have lost touch with her. If you recognize the name and are in contact with her, I'd appreciate it if you'd pass this message on. Thanks!! Jeff Erno
No problem! I am actually the President of the Gulf Coast High School GSA. On behalf of everyone in the club, thank you so much for your generosity and kindness involving the Gay-la. My Vice President, Ashley Price, and I have marked our calenders and we will be attending the October Meeting. Once again, thank you!
Hey thanks PFLAG, we ar trying to get more people in volve, in GSA as we just started this year promoting GSA at our school, we would need alot of help from any one and anywere we can get, as we have seen from the begining of this club the fear of kids coming out and not having any kind of help, thats why i have created this page for them to find and search for answers... and once again.
