P. Freeze
He has been said to bring the most powerful presence to the Long Beach rap scene since Snoop Dogg himself. But this inner city self made MC has his sights set on becoming so much more then simply a great rapper. P. Freeze (as commonly known to his fans and followings) was born in San Diego, Ca in 1981. In 1993 he was forced to relocate to the Los Angeles area where he was first introduced to the harsh realities of the inner city street life. Surrounded by gang violence, prostitution and heavy drug activity. Freeze's ammunitions for his early gangster mentalitized lyrical content began to formulate. As early as age 12, the young MC began to astound audiences nationwide with his display of extreme versatility and tremendous vocabulary. While living in such an areas affiliated with constant opposition and competition, P. Freeze began to develop a highly defensive and protective violent demeanor. He increasingly found himself mired to the criminal and gang affiliated lifestyle, a life he had known since age 12. It wasn't until 1999 did he decide to leave his life of illegal activities behind him. After his departure from the so called "hood life" P. Freeze began battle rapping opposite many west coast underground MC's at local record stores and barber shop. His impressive winning streak drew the attention of many competitive artist, in and out of the music industry. P. Freeze went on to attract the attention of a few major and independent labels with intentions of contracting the young MC, he did not feel the need to accept such invitation at the time. Freeze went on to appear on several dozen street mixtapes and underground compilations with up and coming artist from all over the U.S. Freeze attempted to find a home within a few well established underground labels, none of which worked out for him. He eventually came to the conclusion that there were very few artist sharing his views and beliefs as to how a label should be ran. Soon after he created a underground label by the name of Hood Sent Ent. with another up and coming artist from Long Beach, Ca who at that time was living in Carson, . The two were only together long enough to create no more then a single EP of five songs. Both Freeze and his partner decided to go there separate ways but P. Freeze refused to let his dream go. He began doing any and everything possible to get himself and his label known, From free shows to ghostwriting for many artist without receiving any credit for his work. P. Freeze went on to build an independent powerhouse of young gifted artist and producers that would change the voice of West Coast to the world. Since then he has executive produced dozens of street compilation for many artist looking to create a street buzz throughout there local areas. He has proven himself time and time again to audiences from the U.S. out to Italy and Japan.
