Here's my official bio:
Patricio Ginelsa is originally from Daly City, CA, where he started making video movies with his neighborhood at the age of 13. It was John Singleton's 1992 film "Boyz N The Hood" that inspired Patricio to pursue a serious career in filmmaking at the University of Southern California where he graduated with a BA in cinema production.
After secure jobs at Paramount Pictures and Columbia Tri-Star, Patricio chose the starving "indie" filmmaker route. Patricio became the Associate Producer of the award-winning film "the Debut" and assisted in its theatrical self-distribution all over the country by driving his car cross-country and back. Once the movie got bought by Columbia Tri-Star in 2003, Patricio was hired as supervising producer of its DVD special features.
He wrote and directed the feature-length video movie "LUMPIA" (2003 Hawaii International Film Festival, 2004 Toronto ReelWorld) which received a rave review from Variety. After a community tour around the U.S., this “ultimate home made movie” gained a huge cult following on DVD.
Ginelsa is probably best known for his 3 Black Eyed Peas music videos: "THE APL SONG" (2004) and two versions of " BEBOT" (2006). The Generation One version of "BEBOT" was recently lauded with the Presidents Award from the California Preservation Foundation for its focus on Stockton's Little Manila District. He also just won BEST MUSIC VIDEO for his Native Guns "Champion" video at the 2007 San Diego Asian Film Festival. His music video resume also includes independent artists such as the PACIFICS, Lauren Hildebrandt, INVID, Kim del Fierro, InnerVoices, and Immij. Having just completed his first commercial for L&L Hawaiian Barbeque, Ginelsa makes his stage directing debut with AMERIKANA THE MUSICAL.
Patricio continues to develop his projects under his production company Kid Heroes Productions and also manages Alica Way Entertainment, which distributes exclusive Filipino American DVD content.
Have a great Thanksgiving. Goble goble Day! ...and maybe I'll see you for my birthday on Saturday if you are in town? Thank you for all the support. Hope to see you there!

Loving the "Your Power" videos, Pat!! I came up to Vegas this past weekend with Asian Americans for Obama to register API voters. In Nevada, 80% of eligible APIs are NOT registered to vote! How sad is that! (sadly, this statistic includes Emick's parents, I should get them some voter registration forms then)
You are awesome! Remember the 1st day we actually met face to face? I wanted to work on another project & Nina told me a guy name Patricio was coming to the Bay to do some grass roots & may need help. You just came into town from So.Cal., came to my house, met up with Jon C. there, then you asked me to do gorilla marketing together that day. And so we did. We hit up EVERY Filipino joint in the Bay... and still had time to hit up a McD's for apple pie! Love & peace Patricio. I'll ALWAYS be by your side to support your projects.
pat, thanks again for letting us crash @ your spot. def. all gotta get together again soon. keep us posted on the big day if it'll be at the "biggest little city" or whatnot.. hope rockband night ROCKS on! see u later!
Thank you for the add. Just wanted to congratulate you on your win at the film festival. No matter what, you have been a leader in breaking ground for Filipinos in entertainment. I'm glad that this win has given you back the passion of filmmaking. Being in the public eye, we will always have critics no matter what and these critics may never see the positiveness in what we do. Even on youtube, a supposed insignificant video that matters to the poster's family will have critics also.
Hey Pat, Congrats on winning the Film Festival Contest. I was in LA that same weekend, damn it was hot. I bet you miss Daly City weather during those heat waves.
