We say, let's start a fucking revolution!!! That's right, let's make music, record it, make CDs, tour.... all without the assistance of the corporate music world.
We all know that with the internet we have built in distribution, marketing, promotion, and listening ability.
Fuck them and their rules we don't have to play that game anymore.
Viva la revolucion!
With roots in Dopehouse and Clutch Cargo and drummer who does double duty with the lovely Bridges and Blinking Lights, we are crunching, exacting, melodic, metal and rock all at the same time. Our music engages and challenges the listener with a mathy, roaring quality balanced by jazz and hardcore principles. To dumb it down: Take Zeppelin and Rush, put them in a blender with Fugazi and Black Flag, then sprinkle a little 7 Year Bitch on top. Drink it while listening to Mozart and Beethoven... and you get us.
We have finished recording and the songs will be up shortly!
Phalanx would like to thank Jay B. Stevens for his awesome photos. You need live shots of your band? He's your man.
Whoa, that rhymed, I should write lyrics....oh wait.....
Uh, what did you do with our meek and mild little wine shop owner??? LOL
HOLY FUCK!
I'm not the world's biggest fan of this genre (although I'm not exactly sure what genre you guys qualify for) but when Midway hit the bridge and I found myself listening to soft electric jazz guitar I almost fell out of my chair! And when you shifted back into metal gear I just started laughing and couldn't stop. It works, and I can't wait to hear that one in concert.....that is, if they'll let me in to any place you guys play.....
That would be fuckin wicked!
We'll have to see what's going on since I'm in Europe for a couple weeks, Max is touring with his other band and we'll be writting and recording new material.
If we could fit in a small detour we'd totally be down. I'll take to the guys.
What's up, Rock Star? Just driving by and shouting out! Still want to come to one of y'all's gigs, I can't spend all my time way out here in the sticks! (Although there is something to be said about getting away from the City, out where you can see the stars, by a nice, cool Brook...) (I just made that up! Pretty damn bitchin, huh? Huh? Hello?)
Thanks, once again, Brook! We had a blast! And I had no idea Haunted House Technology had become so advanced! I'm thinking about doing my house in the "Horror 3-D" motif. (Hell, I wish I-35 was done that way!) Give us a call if anything else pops up, we're at your service.
Hey, Red and Rippin', just wanted to say "Thanks!" for including B.F.E (Brett Flowers Element) in the Dallas Scaregrounds Opening Week-End festivities. It was a blast! And the pleasure of meeting a competent, captivating stunner such as yourself was an unexpected bonus! Hopefully, we can do it again sometime. So, until then...
