Started in the summer of 2002 by founding members Aldo (Lead vocals and lead/rhythm guitar), Luis (Backup vocals and lead guitar) and Alex (drums) Phantom Armada set out to try and create the best old school sounding metal as possible by a modern day band. Already having two original songs they found bassist Geo but after problems between the two camps and a couple weeks Geo was given the ax. Then came current bassist Kiki Scott and the Phantom Armada that many know now was born. Having a heavy practice schedule and inspired by such bands as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Metallica, and a combined love for Megadeth the Phantom sound was soon being established as a mix of heavy riffs, catchy harmonies, high pitched and thrash style vocals, and blistering solos. Playing countless numbers of backyard shows over the Lynwood/LA area and opening for such bands as Tierra Santa and Dreams of Damnation, Phantom Armada looks to brighten their horizons and try to play as many shows as possible and earn a bigger following. The Phantom boys are pleased to announce that after weeks of recording their demo "Into the Battlefield" is ready for a release so get ur copy at a gig near you.
