Growler Video
This was the video to our first single, "Growler". It was released in 1999. Seems like a lifetime ago!!!
We bought the car from a mate who wanted to get rid of it because it reminded him of his ex girlfriend. He's the one seen ploughing a steel bar through the sunroof with loads of venom and hatred. He broke his hand doing it!
The assorted friends who can be seen beating the cr@p out of this car include people who are now an owner of a successful PR firm, a top electronic artist, a creative director for an advertising agency, an owner of a TV production company and two guys who play breakbeat records for a living - us. See what starring in a PB video can do for your career prospects???!
Resident at: Big Chill Bar and Big Chill House London
Previous resident at:

We've DJed in about 30 countries across 4 continents. We've DJed live on Radio One, recorded a single with a very famous politician, woken up in a jacuzzi in Miami, been chased out of town in Spain and generally rocked pretty much every place that's been good enough to have us. We've released quite a few singles and countless remixes.
More soon. When we remember it..
Our 1st London gig was for Heavenly Jukebox (Heavenly Social) @ Turnmills back in the days of all good things eclectic and big beat. Jon Carter came into our room & said "Who the f**k are you?! - I've never seem the room jumping like this!". After our blinding set finished the Heavenly boys offered us a monthly residency. We reluctantly accepted. :).
Shortly after we were awarded with a nice article and the title of DJs of the month by London's style mag i-D magazine who summed us up by saying "Phantom Beats will be wrecking funkin' havoc!"
Other famous residencies we've had include Spectrum in Nottingham who won best Club Night in the annual Breakspoll awards for 3 years running! So we've played The Bomb (rip) and the mighty Stealth regularly. Great club to play for!
We've also played regularly for The Big Chill festivals (Eastnor Castle, Enchanted Garden, Lulworth, Naxos- Greece) - which are totally gorgeous! We can also be found spinning at the Big Chill bar and the new Big Chill House in London which are both lovely hang outs.
