currently: bustin mad skidzz. but really, i'm biking around downtown and hawthorne and belmont in PDX, trying not to lose my hat in the process; working as a server, working as a writer, and working on bikes - getting paid for only one (guess); eating more falafel; rolling Danish tobacco - but trying to quit, really; drinking too much tequila - i call it 'research for the character i'm writing.'
| | Music | Lo-Fi, by and by. i have a brian jonestown massacre ring tone on my cell. if i could understand mark e. smith's lyrics better, he'd be my hero. i like waltzes. and gypsy punk.
lately i've been into Mr. Airplane Man, The Fall, Guided By Voices, and the Flying Burrito Brothers. and Leonard Cohen. and that Band of Horses song is played everywhere still, and i'm starting to like it.
and i've finally begun my record collection... see you at the binz.
| | Movies | are only good if they are old. that's not true. I liked I heart huckabees a whole bunch. and the fountain made me cry. but hollywood is dead like zed, baby. woody allen. david lynch. wes anderson. i want to watch more Janus films. i'm doing a Noir thing, lately.
| | Television | is an electronic womb, only less nurturing (unless you just watch the History Channel, and they just really seem to have something against Nazis for some reason)... i miss the IFC. and Adult Swim.
also, i must now confess to enjoying TV on DVD; i've finally become sucked in: 30 Rock, Dexter, and of course some Williams Street stuff and 12oz Mouse...
right now i'm watching all nine seasons of the X-Files. SWWEEEET!
