I Phantom of the Opera nascono da un'idea di Giuseppe Olando, in quanto tale progetto può unire musicisti diversi, accomunati da una grande passione per gli Iron Maiden, che desiderano suonar molto dal vivo, facendo rivivere le emozioni che questa grande band ha dato negli anni a milioni di fans in tutto il mondo.Per noi suonare in questa tribute band significa rendere omaggio ad una band che amiamo e che è stata fra le maggiori band che ci ha sempre inspirato come musicistai.Il tutto ha inizio nel Gennaio del 2002 con l'incontro tra Giuseppe Olando e Fulvio Manganini (rispettivamente chitarra e basso della band), i quali pianificano come e in che direzione deve muoversi la band. In seguito, Giuseppe recluta alla batteria Diego Itri, con il quale ha collaborato in un progetto precedente: i Medhusa...Inizia l'attività del gruppo, e dopo la partecipazione di molti musicisti, ai primi di Maggio giungono nelle file dei Phantom of the Opera Alessandro Delle Fave (chitarra) ed Eddy Visentin (voce).Il 13 Giugno 2002 tra le mura dell'Indian's Saloon di Bresso(Milano) c'è il debut live della band: circa 40 minuti di palco. L'esibizione riscuote un discreto successo tra il pubblico presente. In seguito la band parte nuovamente alla ricerca di nuovi pezzi particolari dalla storia degli Iron Maiden,in previsione di una registrazione futura e dei prossimi concerti.A Gennaio 2003 c'è un cambio di line-up, subentra alla voce Danny, già cantante dei Silence, nota band metal milanese. Ad Aprile 2003 si unisce alla band Mario Giannini (ex Node ed ex Beholder ora suona nei Fire Trails di Pino Scotto)che vanta capacità uniche sullo strumento ed un passato ricco di esibizioni, fra cui quella al Gods of Metal 2002 nei Node, con lui la band fa un ulteriore passo in avanti e ad Agosto 2003 registra un demo promozionale contenente le due hit indimenticabili:" THE EVIL THAT MEN DO" e "WASTED YEARS". A Settembre 2003 arriva il grande chitarrista Biff dei Chariot e alla voce subentra Luca degli In Depth,cantante dalle doti canore davvero uniche. A Gennaio 2004 entra a far parte della band Marco Covelli alla batteria,ex Derdian(altra nota metal band milanese), nasce anche il nuovo sito web della band.Ad Agosto 2005 registra un demo promozionale contenente le due hit indimenticabili: "Aces High" e "The Trooper".A Maggio 2006 arriva il grande chitarrista Luciano Esteban proveniente dalla band band of Cyclops. A Settembre 2006 subentra alla batteria Stefano"Steve"Arrigoni(che suonava nei Cyclops ed ora nei Planet Hard),con la sua band Planet Hard è stata la band di supporto degli Europe nel 2007 durante il “Secret Society Tour”per il concerto di Milano,Steve ha poi suonato al Gods of Metal 2007. A Settembre 2007 entra nella band Nando Zumbo alla batteria.Nel 2009 arrivano Fabio "Vikingo" Cavestro alla chitarra e Alessandro "Rullo" Durini alla batteria.Attualmente ogni membro di questa band è comunque attivo in altre band o progetti personali.

UP THE IRONS...
Ritmi ragga/hip-hop e liriche ben più che esplicite, sono gli ingredienti alla base del nuovo lavoro collettivo della tribù pugliese per antonomasia. Gli mc’s, cantanti e musicisti “apulici”, in un lavoro che conserva l’immediatezza delle dance-hall e la genuinità delle mix tapes, si esprimono senza mezzi termini sul microcosmo culturale e sociale della penisola nella penisola: la Puglia. E’ un viaggio che dalla loro regione si apre al mondo, trasportandoci in un universo di precarietà esistenziale, antiche e nuove crisi economiche, stati normativi di eccezione per i migranti della Terra rinchiusi nei Cpt, gioia di vivere, resistenza civile e amore per la propria terra. Agli esponenti storici della Tribe si aggiungono nuove e originali voci, dalla Terra di Bari al Salento, dall’Altopiano delle Murge alle sterminate coste ioniche e adriatiche, per una tradizione musicale che si rinnova nel presente e nel passato.
The Phantoms of the Opera,rose by an Giuseppe Olando's idea,because this project can join together different musicians,linked from a big passion for Iron Maiden group,who want to play live,making all the emotions this great Heavy Metal group gave to million of fans in the whole world came true.For us, to play in this tribute band means to pay tribute to a band we love and that was also one of the greatest band that has always inspired us as musicians.All began on January 2002 during a meeting between Giuseppe Olando(Guitar) and Fulvio Manganini(bass),who planned together how and in what direction the group had to move. Later on,Giuseppe recruited Diego Itri as drummer,who had a previous collaboration with in another project: The Medhusa. The activities of the group begin and after the taking part in of several musicians, on early may join in the "Phantom of the Opera" group Alessandro Delle Fave(guitar) and Eddy Visentin(voice). On June 13th 2002 the group performs its "debut live" in the "Indian's Saloon" in Bresso(Milan):nearly 40 min.on stage.The performance earns a fairly good succes. Afterwards the band is looking for new particular musical pieces of the Iron Maiden history,expecting a future recording and the next concerts.On January 2003 line-up is changing,succeeds as voice of the group Danny,already singer of the "Silence",know metal band from Milan.Quality and experience of Danny's voice allow a further improvement,as growth and preparation.On April 2003 joins the band Mario Giannini(ex "Node",and ex"Beholder"group,he’s now currently playing in the Pino Scotto’s band Fire Trails))who demonstrates unique skills as drummer and a solid past of performances, and in particular the one at "Gods of Metal festival 2002" in the "Node" group,and with his contribution the band improvves furtherly on August 2003 the group is recording a promotional demo containing two unforgettable hits: "The Evil That Men Do" and "Wasted Years".On September 2003 arrives the Biff's Great Guitar from the band of Chariot and succeeds as voice of the group Luca (from the "In Depth" band),singer with unique abilities. On January 2004 succeeds as drummer Marco Covelli, ex Derdian(other famous band from Milan).There is also the birth of the new website of the band. on August 2005 the group is recording a promotional demo containing two unforgettable hits: "Aces High" and "The trooper".On September 2005 Biff left the band and after several audictions on May 2006 arrives the Luciano Esteban's great guitarplayer from the band of Cyclops. On September 2006 succeeds as drummer Stefano"Steve"Arrigoni(from Cyclops and now from PlanetHard) and during the year 2007 with his band Planet Hard,he was the band support for the famous Europe band during their Milan gig during “The Secret Society Tour”,and than played for the Gods of Metal Festival 2007. Nando Zumbo then joined the band in late 2007 to replace Stefano Arrigoni. Fabio "Vikingo" Cavestro then joined the band in 2009 to replace Luciano Esteban.In 2009 join in the band as drummer Alessandro "Rullo" Durini. Now every member of this band is still active in other bands or personal projects.
