About me: Polish Hill is a small, friendly neighborhood comfortably nestled on the steep hillside between the Hill District and the Strip District. Minutes away from the activity of downtown Pittsburgh, our front porches and doorsteps line the quiet residential streets, welcoming frequent neighborly visits. Stop in to find out what is happening in this small, lively community.
Hello, my name is John Wolkiewicz. I live in Queen Creek, AZ. My grandparents lived on Polish Hill, were married at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Joseph Sr. and Wanda Wolkiewicz. My Grandmother maiden name was Witkowska, or I fine it spelled ending with an i in some of her things. My great Grandmother maiden name was Puszc. Name that I have also found are Price, Szepietowski and Dlugonski. I am looking for relative and wondering if you may know some. Please write on my MySpace page or email me at: johnskiwolk@cox.net and put Wolkiewicz in the subject. Thank You.
We found out about Polish Hill and the PHCA by accident a few months ago as we were looking for future areas to relocate to. Now the husband has a job offer in Pittsburgh and we are hoping to be able to move to Polish Hill...wish us luck!
