Sometimes Dan is just by himself doing acoustic shows. Sometimes he's with The One Oh Eight, a great blues band---Dan on lapsteel guitar, Bill Sonoda on electric guitar, Jim Roxworthy on bass and Tony Cross on drums.
Influences
Son House, Blind Lemon Jefferson, Blind Blake, Blind Willie Johnson, Blind Willie McTell, Rev. Gary Davis, Pink Anderson, Roy Book Binder, Catfish Keith.
"His vocals are gruff and matter-of-fact...and his guitar work is completely blues-approved, whether persuasive in the Delta style, playing Piedmont blues or on his own compositions...a worthy interpreter and torchbearer."
Blues Revue Oct./Nov. 2005.
"...his following is justified, as he is far more than competent with a strong, percussive attack on steel guitar and powerful vocals...." Blues and Rhythm Magazine.
