2001 – six months before graduation from my apprenticeship, RUSK INC. signed me on as an independent contractor for education
2001 - 2002 Employed at Salon Dion Day Spa as a stylist. Continued as an educator and platform artist for RUSK INC.
2002 - 2003 Self Employed at Lynn Gordon Salon Continued as an educator and platform artist for RUSK INC.
2003 - 2004 Opened ReWired Salon. Continued as an educator and platform artist for RUSK INC.
2004 - 2005 Closed ReWired salon after receiving a full time position with RUSK INC. as an International Guest Artist and Regional Education Manager.
2005 - employed at BIANCHIS salon and spa (www.bianchis.com)
2007 - Employed at BIANCHIS salon and spa. Part time International guest artist for RUSK INC.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS
RUSK – Within a 2 year period, acquired a full time position with the company as an international guest artist and regional education manager, creating “looks” and educating hairdressers in London, Paris, Dubai UAE, Australia, Mexico City, Canada, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Orlando (and every city in between)
REGIONAL EDUCATION MANAGER
Responsibilities
As an education manager, I was responsible for several territories and the professional hairproduct distributors within. I was responsible for the management, organizing, manning, and set up of the individual distributors’ hair shows.
As an education manager I was responsible for the training and education for the RUSK DESIGNERS in each territory (around 40 total), Maintaining and updating them regularly on the seasonal “looks”.
As an education manager it was also my responsibility to test new products and cutting/coloring techniques, then to pass the results along to the RUSK DESIGNERS in my territories.
INTERNATIONAL GUEST ARTIST
Responsibilities
To pass on inspiration and motivation through creative cutting and coloring on a “stage” setting and performance at major international hair shows. To demonstrate leadership within the industry through creative thinking and the sharing of knowledge to other hairdressers.
