   About Phil Lesh & Friends
Welcome to the official Myspace page of Phil Lesh & Friends!

Those looking for the inspiration of the current jam band movement need look no further than Phil Lesh. A founding member of the venerable American musical institution, the Grateful Dead, Lesh has continued to inspire while pushing the envelope with his highly evolved musical performances. The world-class musicians that have passed through Phil Lesh & Friends have thrilled audiences with their high-flying improvisations and timeless renditions of Grateful Dead classics. In 2005, Little Brown published Phil Lesh’s memoir titled: Searching For The Sound – My Life with the Grateful Dead, which found the inventive bassist on the New York Times Best Seller List. Last fall, Image Entertainment released Phil Lesh & Friends’ first DVD release – Live at the Warfield. For Phil Lesh the relentless pursuit of improvisation is well known.

Mountain Jam re-unites Phil Lesh with guitarist Warren Haynes for what will be Phil Lesh & Friends’ only 2007 festival season appearance. Fans can expect Phil Lesh & Friends’ fearless musical exploration that will keep the bodies swaying and the feet moving.

Check above for sample tracks from Phil and Friends' upcoming live DVD/CD "Live At The Warfield".

On May 18th and 19th 2006, Phil Lesh and Friends electrified The Warfield Theater in San Francisco, CA with two nights of music that never failed to satisfy. The venerable theater had been visited many times by Phil Lesh and Friends, but never by this exact group. This group of assembled Friends combines a strong jazz background with a touch of blues, a pinch of soul, a good helping of groove, and just the right amount of jamming to keep the faithful dancing well into the early morning.

Errr...i just get easily distracted ya know...so it might look like i've forgotten everything, but it's just because my mind is elsewhere, honest! *cough* lol. I still remember how to sign 'my name', that's a handy start lol, not sure about the rest. As for work Im still workin at the same ole, same ole, but im also making some extra money taking these surveys things online; you should give em a try; i mean, hey, the extra money comes in handy, right? i guess you'll have to type the link into internet explorer or whatever, but here it is:

                    Welcome GrandParents
of the Southern Medicine Wheel

  We Welcome the Grandparents of
the Southern Summer Medicine
Wheel bringing their Loving Energy
that makes green and growing that
which was planted and sprouted by
us within us  with the guidance of
The GrandParents of the Eastern
Spring Medicine Wheel.
We thank the GrandParents of the
Eastern Spring Medicine Wheel for
their guidance in the tending of
those things we planted within
ourselves and we wish to see come
into the World. We wish them well as
they ready their time of sleep and
look forward to their return in time
as all things do.
We thank the GrandParents of the
Western Summer Medicine Wheel
for growing those seeds we planted
and are now growing into view that
we may better understand what we
are bringing to the Creation.
We thank you for the Greening
Energy that allows us to see how well
we've taken care of those seeds of
thought that govern our
relationships with our Family,our
extended Family, The Earth and all
that Walks,Crawls,Swims,or Flies.
We thank the GrandParents of the
Southern Summer Medicine Wheel
for their guidance in this time and
their Energy that will bring us a
clearer vision of what we are growing
in the gardens of our Hearts and
Minds and what they will bring to All
in Creation.
We Bless you for Being. We extend
our Grateful Hearts to you for your
Loving Guidance and thanks for the
Energy that you bring,Now and
Always through

Indians living close to nature and nature's ruler are not living in darkness.

"
--Walking Buffalo,
There are many Indian people who are living according to nature and according to ceremony and culture. They may not have a lot of material things, but that doesn't mean they are not successful. What is success anyway? Can success be measured by material things? What is it we are really chasing anyway? The Elders say that what everyone really wants is to be happy and have a peaceful mind. Material things by themselves do not bring happiness and peace of mind. Only spiritual things bring happiness. When we live a spiritual life we will not have darkness. Instead, we will be happy.

Elder's Meditation of the Day - April 25
"In some mysterious and wonderful way you are part of everything, Nephew. And in that same mysterious and wonderful way, everything is a part of you.

"
--Nippawanock, ARAPAHOE
In order to experience this, we must be aware of how limited our senses are—eyes, ears touch, smell, taste. These senses help us to function in the Seen World. What we see is interpreted by our minds and put inside our belief system, and this can become our reality. But there also exists an Unseen World. In this world we experience connectedness; we experience the mystery; and we experience another whole point of view. If we pay attention to both the Unseen World and the Seen World, our belief systems will print in our mind a new and wonderful reality. We will see and know we are a part of everything.

Great Spirit, today, give me the knowledge to know this mystery.

Hey Now Phil,
I understand the 'Donor Rap',it's importance and the fact that donations have saved not only your life but many many others. But I have a concern.
Like me I know you remember the 'Owsley days' and the 'Think it and you're there' ways it brought about, and that's the rub.
Many folks are, naturally, tripping, not as good as we did,but tripping just the same, with the same results. We see what we hear, and, what we're 'seeing' is organs of all types shooting out of us,crawling up to the stage looking for people to jump in to.
Maybe GD Tickets could put a Donor reguest on the tickets, passive for sure, but less tramatic to tripping minds,
