Phil Da Costa

Phil is a Music Producer, Songwriter, Engineer, Programmer and Mixer.

Phil has recently mixed the single "Wherever You Are" by The Military Wives Choir with Gareth Malone (Decca) which was the UK 2011 Christmas No 1 with 630.000 sales in one week! The track was produced by Jon Cohen and composed by Paul Mealor. The single has also been released in the USA and the video has over 1,200,000 views on YouTube.

He runs CrazyJoeCola Music Productions and has produced and engineered tracks for The Yeah You's who signed to Island Records and Sony Publishing. They had heavy play on Radio 1 and Radio 2 with their singles "15 Minutes" (which Phil co-wrote) and "Getting Up With You" and the album "Looking Through You" received great reviews including 4 stars from Mojo Magazine and Radio 2 Album Of The Week. www.myspace.com/theyeahyous.

In recent years he has engineered and mixed tracks for Faryl Smith (Decca) Alison Moyet’s album "The Turn" (Universal), The Fron Choir (1 Million UK sales - Decca), The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards who won the Classical Brit award for best album 2009 (500, 000 UK sales - Decca), The Squadronaires (No.5 in the official UK album chart). Over the past 4 years he has mixed numerous albums for Decca Records with total sales of over 3 million.

He has previously produced and mixed tracks for Darius, Vanessa Mae, Bond, Opera Babes, Jaki Graham, Sinead Quinn and Take That amongst many others.

He is currently writing and producing tracks for new female artist J Marie Cooper.
