| General | Singing is my passion! Children are my world! And occasionally, I quite enjoy a good spelunking. | | Music | So many incredible musicians out there, but I'll try to list just a few in no particular order. Stevie Wonder, Brian McKnight, Boyz II Men, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Ella Fitzgerald, Kurt Elling, Joni Mitchell, James Brown, Bob Marley, Luther Vandross, Maxwell, India Arie, Michael Jackson, Lauren Hill, The Temptations, The Beach Boys, Radiohead, Ben Folds, Busta Rhymes, The Roots, Dead Prez, The Beatles, Mariah Carey, Ladysmith Black Mbazo, classical music ( especially from the Romantic period), opera, and yes, as if there aren't already enough incriminating things about me, I like musical theatre/show tunes, so many diffent types of world music, especially latin and afro-beat ( I just wish I could salsa better, "!Hay Dios mio!"). . . Anyway, these are just a sampling of some of my very favorite artists and styles, and I'm sure I missed a few. But, I love so many different kinds of music. I hear new stuff all the time that I vibe on. I grew up on jazz cause that's what my pops did for a living for over 20 years. Music is in my blood! My brother said it best on his page, "Anything Poetic created from the human spirit in Passion and Love is worth being inspired by." I agree 100%! |

About me:
So, I figured I'd finally change this, being that I've been on myspace for a little while now. Aside from the fact that none of that stuff before was true,(except, of course, I truly do enjoy having a close friend poop in my mouth) I figured my profile would be more agreeable with more concrete information. So, here you go: First of all, I am a VERY passionate person! I love life, though, for a long time now, I have struggled with the consistency of that. Does that make any sense? Either way, when I am feeling "normal," I most definitely try to seize every moment of every day. I LOVE people! My family and my friends are the most important part of my life, and I am so thankful for the people that have been brought into my life. I have the most incredible family and the best friends anyone could ever ask for. My philosophy in life is to LOVE every day. I don't feel that anyone can go wrong doing that. I have been singing for quite a long time now, and that is the career that I am hoping to pursue. I have let my voice deteriorate over the past several years, but now it is time to polish my instrument so to speak. I feel that my voice is a gift that I've been blessed with, and if I am not using it, I didn't deserve it in the first place. So. . .I must use it! As far as what I do, other than singing, I absolutely love working with children! I have worked with all different types of children for the past 8 years or so. My experience includes working with physically challenged kids, children with developmental disabilities, (autism, down syndrome, etc.) teaching English overseas, child care, and just chillin' with the kiddies. Every day that I work with children, I learn something new. Sometimes, I think I get more out of it than they do. Hmmm, what else? I think that should do for now. Peace and Much Love!
