Although it has one name, there’s more than one that makes up the Philip Griffin Band. Starting out with just Philip Griffin (vocals, guitar) and Derek Gosnay (bass) they practiced, wrote and came up with a way to get a band off the ground. Adding in Cody Croft (drums) and Alex Elsik (lead guitar) completing the band. With a few practices, and a couple shows things took off faster than expected.
The guys together have built a dynamic relationship in such a short time. Every show they play is full of energy and will leave you craving more! They have just released their self titled EP with singles such as “How Bout You and Me” and “Worth It.” They have blown up East Texas and our now stretching out all over Texas in cities such as Weatherford, Mexia, Longview, College Station, New Braunfels and Uvalde. There have been several great achievements and exciting venues in which Philip Griffin has showcased his song writing and music. Texas High School Rodeo, Louisiana High School Rodeo, CCMA Talent Contests at the Grand Ol Opry, The Harbour, Splashway Summer Concert Series, KALR Artist of the Month, Texas Hot Country Magazine Showcase, Dayton Old Tyme Days, Gator Fest, Crosby Fair and Rodeo, Schotzi's, Tavern in the Gruene, House of Blues Houston, Oil Patch Festival, Humble Rodeo Cook-Off, Clear Springs Cafe, Firehouse Saloon, Big Texas North, Pasadena Rodeo Cook-off, River Road Ice House, On The Rox, Dobbin City Hall, Ray's Ice House, Prairie Rose, MainStreet Crossing, Thirsty Parrot, The Tasting Room, Lucky Sailor, Blaine's Pub, The Cow Pony, Continental Club, Reno's, Goode BBQ Company, and an on going list of community events, bars and honky tonks.
