ABOUT ME: I have been playing drums since I was 10 years old and have had many
opportunities to play for many different bands and artists. I studied under the
great Ken "Nardo" Murray who has recorded with artists such as Dolly Parton and
plays drums for Mouse and the Traps who have toured with the Mama's and the Papa's. While attending college I studied under Dr. Alan Teel working on integrating traditional afro-cuban, latin, and jazz into my drumming.
In the summer of 2000 I was recruited to play with a worship band for my first international tour. That tour made stops in Denmark, Germany, Norway, Belgium, France,
and Sweden. In 2003 I took was the winner of “Duel of the Drummers” – Best in adult division and overall best drummer. I have been able to tour throughout the U.S. in the past 10 years
with numerous bands. In 2006 I started P. Ellis Drums, which is my custom drum company. I currently play drums for Homer Hiccolm & the Rocketboys and Tyler Dodds.
