   About Philip Schuessler

This is my music space, but I also have a separate space here. I am a composer of experimental acoustic and electro-acoustic music as well as songs. This page primarily features my work in the fields of songwriting. For more information regarding my acoustic and electro-acoustic fare, please go here. Also check out my personal website: www.philipschuessler.com

As a composer, my aesthetics lie towards sound material as a source of form. I have significant leanings towards American Experimentalism and European Spectralism.

As a songwriter, I am particularly influenced by extended forays into ambience, experimental rock, improv, noise, free folk, and psychedelia.

We saw Diary of the Dead at the theater. I liked it better than his last one but the idiocy of the characters was overwhelmingly irritating to the point I was hoping all of them would die except.

Something tells me I should be posting ads in comments more aggressively...I've certainly allow many on mine! So don't take any offense if this appears against your wishes. Er, um...not exactly selling anything or playing any dates, but I guess if you are interested enough I can cobble together a CD for you, if you ask nicely and tempt me with a few bucks. Anyway, so here it is, my first official AD (i.e. non-banner) announcement of my latest CD of original songs and compositions. The photo is the front and back cover of the CD, showing the list of songs. So there.
