About me: Totally obsessed with the 1960's. Im a D.J and promote club nights and events dedicated and inspired by the sixties underground. In the past twelve months I've become a keen record collector. I love to collect rare and obscure vinyl mainly on 45 format from retro pop and mod to late underground psych and early seventies progressive rock. I live with my girlfriend Peppi who which I love and adore and owe alot to for putting up with me!!
I run a monthly club night now nearly in its 2nd year called 'off with The Octopus Club' located in the basement at The Fat Cat Cafe Bar, Trinity Street, Hanley, Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire ST1 1ND. I couldn't pull this off without the help of The Invisible Elevator Man and The Whirling Dervish not forgetting the patience of my wonderful girlfriend Peppi while im organizing them!!! You will find The Octopus a totally unique club night to any other in staffordshire and it gives people chance to come and check out some fantastic tunes and watch some incredible bands inspired by the era. Heres a list of who have already played at The Octopus...The Black Apples, Alfa 9, Tall Stories, Ant Mayer, The Jannocks, The Velvet Texas Cannonball, The Asteroid No4, The Quarter After, The Telescopes to name a few! 2009 will not dissapoint either with some fantastic nights planned already.
