   Phillie Phanatic 的自我介紹
關於我:
I'm just you average sports mascot. I love the Philadelphia Phillies! Is there any better baseball franchise?? I work for the Phillies full time and can't get enough of it. I enjoy shooting hot dogs at the fans. It's a lot of fun to see Philly's finest fight over a phrank. I also love to ride my 4-wheeler all over the stadium. Perhaps my favorite hobby is taking hats from fans and pretending like I'm not going to give it back, and right when they are about to cry, BOOM, they get it back!

My favorite foods are: cheesesteaks, Soft pretzels, hoagies, scrapple and Tastykakes

"The Phanatic is, and always has been, wholesome fun for fans of all ages. His success, like baseball itself, has withstood the test of time!" - Chris Berman, ESPN

"From the top of his neon-green head to the tip of his bubble-toed size 20 shoes, the Phillie Phanatic is every inch the best mascot in the business. He's as much Philadelphia as cheesesteaks, the Liberty Bell, and Rocky Balboa. Yo, Adrian, I love dat green guy!" - USA Today

我想認識:

Happy 56th Birthday:
Larry Christenson (56) 1953
Born: Everett, WA / Height: 6' 4" , Weight: 215 lb.
Drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies in the
1st round (3rd pick) of the 1972 amateur draft.
Debut: April 13, 1973 / Final Game: June 3, 1983.
Larry pitched for the Phillies in their 2 largest win
seasons with 101 in 1976 & 1977.
In 1976 he went 13-8 & his best season ever
in 1977 when he went 19-6.
Phillies lost to Reds in 1976 playoffs which
was the Phillies first postseason since 1950.
Baltimore Bob attended both losing games at the Vet.
Reds went on to win the World Series.
Larry did not pitch in the Phillies 1976 postseason.
Phillies lost to LA Dodgers in both 1977 &
1978 playoffs who then lost the WS to Yankees.
1977: Friday, October 7, 1977 Larry Christenson
started the 3rd game against LA
and this turned out to be one of the ugliest games
in Phillies postseason history as the
Phillies took a 5-4 lead into the 9th but
Manager Danny Ozark failed to have Jerry Martin
replace LF Greg Luzinski in that inning
& he trapped a fly ball which would have been
the final out and current Phillies 1st base coach
Davey Lopes played a big part in that 9th.
Baltimore Bob added Larry on
Friday September 18th 2009.
