General
Film, of course. I read voraciously, a must for any storyteller. Other hobbies include sci-fi/fantasy/horror stuff, football (go Huskers/go Rams!), playing pool, making asterisks, being out on the big blue, keeping up with my St. Louis Cardinals, wasting too much time online, hiking through the woods, photography, making mom jokes, comics, debating everything under the sun over a mocha with friends at the local coffee shop, and playing Madden NFL on the PlayStation. Pretty much anything a typcial Generation X guy does.
..Music
Music keep me sane. I can't sing, play an instrument and have no real ear for music, but I still love it. My taste ranges all over the spectrum. I just dig good tunes.
Movies
I love making movies, writing screenplays, discussing movies, watching movies, and the study of film. I feel I should've been one of the New Hollywood young turks of the early '70s or one of the independent-world mavericks of the early '90s. I write, screenplays and short stories. I even have a song or two under my belt, not necessarily good ones, but they are there. I'm happiest when I'm in the middle of a set, framing a shot, describing the blocking to my actor, conducting the scene. The moment when I say, "Action!" is the moment. Worlds within worlds and lives beyond our own, that's what movies mean to me. I have too many favorties to mention. Some current good viewing choices include:
Television
Sometimes, I like what's on the tube, other times I'm sure it harkens Armageddon for the human race. I hate most reality shows and 90% of MTV. I don't care for the bland and mundane whitewashed shows of the morally upright brigade. They have no heart. But some shows I find short of brilliant and great ways to unwind after a long day. And thanks to DVDs, I'm discovering a lot of good stuff. Thanks HBO for revitalizing a dying medium. Current faves include some of the following:
Books
Books, books, and more books. Food for the brain and gates to other worlds. I read a lot. Big into King, Thompson, Gibson, & China Mieville. I try expanding my horizons with stuff on humor, current events, politics, and biographies.

Sir, that shows poorly! HE is from OHIO! (I don't actually know what that has to do with anything, but it leads into . . .)
Good luck on the upcoming Ohio production, btw. I'll try to make it down there on my next 3-day weekend (whenever that may be).
My son has gone from Kung Fu Panda to Madagascar II, so I had to share it with someone...
