    Very, very broad interests. Athletics: Baseball, softball, running, working out, training for my triathlons, hiking, water skiing. I love all kinds of music, but mostly I guess what you could consider the "gay standards." Rent. The musical/movie, not paying it! Dancing. Going out. Hanging out. Having a few drinks. Getting really sloshed every so often. Nice wines and port. Pinot noir. Pinot noir! Ok, merlot, too! Coffee. The taste of coffee in the morning. And the afternoon. At night, too! Coffee at Martha's. Starbucks in an emergency! Fine dining. Cooking. Being cooked for. Romance. Long walks in Golden Gate Park. Long runs in Golden Gate Park. Exploring something new. Catching up with dear friends. Laughing. Crying, sometimes. Debating. Making my views clear. Standing up for what I believe in. Fighting the ignorance and single-mindedness that seems to unfortunately permeate throughout the gay community, especially here in San Francisco. Fighting the same in the straight world. Loving. Soft, smooth jazz hits the spot, especially at a nice dinner. Some Oldies. Arabic music. Anastacia. iio. Kylie Minogue. Danni Minogue. Pink. Anything one would hear at a circuit party.     RENT, Another Gay Movie, The Breakfast Club, The Sweetest Thing, Christmas movies, movies from the roadtrip Travis and I made, Clue, Legally Blonde 1 and 2, Chicago, Kill Bill 1 and 2, The Trip, several other gay movies that make me cry. Ask Travis. He has all of them!

    Hardly ever watch it, but I do like to see "The Family Guy" whenever I can! Project Runway has become a new favorite. Oh, and definitely "Sex in the City" reruns...

  • Books

    Trying to expand my horizons, but right now it's John Grisham (as it has always been) and historical fiction. Currently reading a book about Matthew Shepard. Pretty damn good if I do say so myself. Going to pick up "The Unbearable Lightness of Being" soon.

  • Heroes

    My heroes are my friends! We grow together, laugh together, cry together, and share our lives together. My friends live all around the world, literally, and this goes out to each of you! Of course, by friend, I don't necessarily mean who may or may not be on that list up and to the right. You know who you are... :)

About me:

Writing updates about my life is something I put off...a LOT. Recently life has been topsy-turvy. After being laid off at the end of July, I've spent most of the past four months just trying to make it. I'm hardworking and enthusiastic when I'm doing something I care about. I just need to find that something... As for what *really* matters, I'm fun-loving, the life of the party, high energy, and CRAZY. I am who I am; when you look at me you see Phillip. I make no apologies for being who I am. I'm caring and giving, loving and cheering. I encourage and support my friends, standing behind them 100%, even if they are wrong. (Although we might have a little discussion...) I have little drama in my life because I surround myself with genuine people, just like me. SF Putas / Four Finger Status!!
