Phillip Powers

Bio:

My name is Phillip Powers. I'm mainly a professional drummer and percussion instructor(teaching private lessons and group instruction in several midwest school systems for the past 9 years.) Recently I have expanded my role in the music field to musical director, producer/engineer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist both in the live and studio setting. In 2008/2009, I took on the role of musical director for Aimee Allen, in which I played drums and guitar live all over the country, and recorded drums on her record "A Little Happiness." I also began recording tracks on guitar, drums, bass and keyboards w/ artists and producers around the country via internet file transfers, which include my work on the latest RuPaul album "Champion" and the soundtrack for the upcoming movies "Pretty Ugly People" and "Sorority Row" and several tracks for TV shows such as RuPaul's 'Drag Race', and many others. With many other projects currently in the works, I hope to continue to head down the path of recording, producing and keeping busy playing live gigs.
