*Girl About Town* is a collective of women who love music, love Philadelphia, and love the Philadelphia music scene. We will be regularly posting CD and show reviews, band interviews and feature articles, as well as surprises along the way. If it has to do with music, we want to document it. We hope you'll visit our site often: www.phillygirlabouttown.com
Girl About Town is proud to participate in the city's only Battle of the Blogs. A twist on the usual Battle of the Bands, three popular music blogs in the city (including us) will compete against each other while featuring the Philly area's up and coming bands. The result? A band competition with the blogs sponsoring individual bands to compete for ultimate bragging rights. The music blogs and bands participating for Round One are: Girl About Town (featuring Robes), The Broken Bell (featuring River City Extension), and Bag of Songs (featuring The Shots). The battle begins on Thursday May 21st at the North Star Bar, and the winning band as voted by the audience will get to play a Saturday night final competition show, date to be announced soon. There will be three rounds with each month's blog picks and then the final show, wrapping up in August. This Battle of the Blogs is sure to be the talked about event of the summer! Please join us in spreading the word and cheering on the bands. May the best band (and blog) win!
We thought you might like to see the videos for our latest "Double A-Side" single: "All Over The World" b/w "Au Revoir" (featuring the great Mike Garson [of David Bowie fame] on piano) Hope you enjoy them. You can download the tracks for your iPod by clicking here:

Hello! :-)
We thought you might like to see this.
It's the video for our new single, "BRIGITTE BARDOT", taken from our current album "LOLA DUTRONIC IN BERLIN".
It's our #1 download at iTunes and our most viewed clip on YouTube.
Not only that, but the legendary Rodney Bingenheimer has been giving it all kinds of airplay on his show on KROQ-FM in L.A.
If you don't already have a copy, you can download the single by clicking here: (Go on....it's only a dollar!)
If you fancy a copy of the album it comes from: "LOLA DUTRONIC IN BERLIN", then click here:
