We're two ladies with a lot of records. We like getting booked and are always up for playing new venues, parties, etc. Contact us here or at danapants@aol.com.
DJ Version Girl (Dana) and DJ CarryUs (Jill) met in 2004 because their husbands were in bands together. Soon we realized we both enjoyed reggae more than any other ladies we knew and wanted to share it with the masses.
The Philly Reggae Girls have played Philadelphia clubs such as The Reef, The Khyber, The Bubble House, Silk City, M-Room, World Café Live, Rotunda, First Unitarian Church, Johnny Brenda's and Tritone. We have enjoyed playing for events such as scooter rallies, fundraisers, and opening for concerts. We currently DJ once a month on the third floor of Doc Watson's.
We run all genres of Jamaican music from ska to dancehall, from the old to the new, almost exclusively on vinyl.
