Blending roots rock, blues standards, jazzy melodies, and the flavor of funk, Philly St. Junction has pooled the collective input and talents of its members to form a free-flowing soulful sound that washes over the audience as well as the preformers in an intense wave of energy and intruige.
After a few jams, a folkie, a grunger, a funky percusionist, and a road-hardened bluesman came together to find enough common ground to form this solid outfit. These four totally different personailities offer a variety of perspective giving the band a unique approach to forming a well rounded sound. Straying away from the basic bar band template, they use thier individual styles and tastes on the songs you know, the not-so-often-covered ones, and a dash of improv to turn the music into unique rhapsodies. The result usually moves the crowd to get on thier feet and participate in the experience. The connection is pure electricity.
BOB! It is Jon from The Cage! I know you are out there somewhere, doing your thing, but if you randomly happen to be in town on April 18th, that would kick much ass. Hexen is a thing of the past... the band we have now is DAUNTIA!
Join us at Mr. Smalls Recording Studio Sunday, December 16th from 5-9pm for our open house! We will be giving tours of the studio and information sessions throughout the evening. Instruments will be set up for open jam sessions as well.
