Violence, Guns, Murder, Death, Sex, Drugs, and Money - is that Hip Hop? Some people will argue that it is, but for CEO of Philly-Wood Entertainment, Shawn "Frogg" Banks, it was different and he knew it. Frogg called upon his friends in the community and in the Hip Hop industry to utilize the power of Hip Hop and help end violence in Philadelphia. In a city where last year the murder rate was close to 400 people, Frogg knew that 10 people could make a difference. Bringing together DJ NoPhrillz, some of the hottest rappers from Philadelphia, and R&B Legend Bunny Sigler, "Everyday is Crazy" was born. The track features Tone Trump, Joey Jihad, Gauge, Nina Ross, Taj Mahal, Mike Knox, Young Blake, Cyssero, Kre'Forch and was produced by Taj Mahal, Executive producers are Shawn "Frogg" Banks and Malik Aziz. The artists performed the song Friday, Oct. 19, at public schools in the Philadelphia area, in the hopes that their message of unity, peace and an end to killing will impact the students of our region. POWER 99 decided not support this movement!!! Have you heard the song played on air? Why would a local radio station not support local artists trying to end violence?
