First and foremost, visit me online @ philoking.com - Jason Burns' Website for my blog commentary, I prefer to use this instead of Myspace because I have control and can syndicate it.
I have had a long interesting journey to 2007 and I am looking forward to seeing what comes next. I was born in Biloxi Mississippi and lived in that area until I was 16. I have two older sisters and two great parents that are still married after all these years. In 1990 I moved to Hickory, North Carolina. I attended High School there and really came into my own with computers, guitar, etc.
In 1995 I moved with two of my friends to Louisiana by way of the US Army. Not really the life for me, in 1997 I moved back to North Carolina. I did a few years designing advertising for a newspaper until I started doing IT stuff for KFC. I did that until 2003 when I started my own newspaper. I did that for about a year, got tired of being broke and in 2004 I went back into the regular workforce.
I was working for a chemical company doing IT stuff when I was contacted about working for Albertsons (now SUPERVALU) here in Boise. I packed up my stuff, moved 2300 miles across the country just before Christmas, and in 2004 I found myself in Boise.
After a few years of great fun and an interesting career, I was offered a job with Microsoft. It's now 2008 and I loving it here in the Seattle/Redmond area. Dawn, Andy and I are getting settled in, I have made a lot of new friends and I am taking more photos than ever.
I thought I would give an udpate to everyone who maniacally reads my myspace page because I am so damned interesting...you can't help yourself, really...no, I understand. I would obsess over me to if I wasn't lucky enough to get to be with myself every day. But that's not the point I want to make. So what is new with me? Not a damned thing! Things are pretty much the same as they have been.
For the rest of you that are into photography, music, guitar, computers, etc, be sure to check out my other websites and keep in touch. I have ironically made a lot of great friends on here and those of you out there, you know who you are and you know you are appreciated.

I always see these goofy, "This is what your name means" things, so I thought I would provide the real origin of my name:
JASON
Gender: Masculine
Usage: English, Greek Mythology (Latinized), Biblical
Pronounced: JAY-sun
From the Greek name Iason, which was derived from Greek iasthai "to heal". Jason was the leader of the Argonauts in Greek legend. He went in search of the Golden Fleece in order to win back his kingdom from his uncle Pelias. During his journeys he married the sorceress Medea, who helped him gain the fleece and kill his uncle, but who later turned against him when he fell in love with another woman. This name is also used in Acts in the New Testament to translate the Hebrew name Joshua.
