Philosopher Stone was formed in 2005 by a few friends that always played music together in living rooms across Oklahoma. Every time they'd just get together to do some pickin' and grinnin', they were always asked, "Why aren't you guys in a band?” They all knew they had been given the musical gift and played well together; in fact, three of the guys were already teaching private lessons...so they thought, "What the heck, let's try it!" Phenom lead guitarist, Billy Beck, had already played in a band with David Keller in their high school days. The multi-talented Keller was a drummer in that first band, but decided to switch it up and found his niche as rhythm guitarist/vocalist for Philosopher Stone. After their long-time friend and musician Martin Henry moved back to Oklahoma to play bass, they were well on their way to great things! After playing a few gigs with different lineups and trying a few drummers, Philosopher Stone asked Curt Daugherty if he would like to join them. Curt is a seasoned drummer that could easily give advice to the other three about his studio experience and days of touring with bands like Pantera and Anthrax in the 80's. Curt agreed to join the band and Philosopher Stone was finally complete! Uniquely, every band member is also a singer at some time in the show, and their original tunes seem to cover quite a few musical genres from rock and blues, to rap and reggae...but the songs always have that P-Stone twist. From winning multiple band battles and playing on many stages, to headlining the locally televised 'Fling at the Springs' music festival; Philosopher Stone's high energy show packs the house wherever the venue. If you want to see great musicianship along with catchy original tunes and complex covers do not miss the next P-Stone show!

Well you won 4 free hours, yes. I'm frustrated that bands win there by putting butts in seats and blow the judges votes out of the water - atleast they've added judges but I have seen outrageou example where bands have won that were talentless. I'd like to try to maintain of recording only bands that are talented and I get to judge alone - yeah! So you guys come by for a meet and greet my phone is at zmanproductions.com. Let's mike you up and see if you like our way. We're but a year old so we're inexpensive and fun! I have not heard the messaging problem before but I'll attempt to remedy this ASAP.
