Big music fan & non-collector-scum collector since age 12. Started DJing badly & running tape label Scum about 1994 (released or distributed Ceramic Hobs, Nigel Joseph, Kuz Bradley, Neil Campbell & Julian Bradley, Inca Eyeball, Wagstaff, Kytch Wife, TUOB etc etc & recorded very occasionally as Drexler's Mistake & in Ovid Corpse). Involved in Termite Club, Leeds Student Radio (sessions & guests included Diz Willis, Bilge Pump, Con-Dom, Neil Campbell, Gay Harris, Rancid Poultry, Living Tissue etc etc), The Network, LSU Record Library & general Leeds music scene 1995-8. Also contributing to various zines through this time. Released first Expose Your Eyes vinyl "Paul's Wooly Vests" on Pikie 1998 & one run of the Ceramic Hobs first CD "Psychiatric Underground" on Landlord 1999 & did a few DJing slots in Totnes. Involved in Bay Radio, GM Benefit Gigs & general Aberystwyth music scene 1999-2000. Played in Poco Loco 2003 to present and Blowjangles and Everything And The Kitchen Sink sporadically 2004 to present. A few DJing slots around Blackpool, Fylde & Wyre. Helped arrange much of Monopolka's first UK tour & a load of other dates for various people, from Cambridge Boatrace in the early 90s to noisers in living rooms today. Currently recording as The Haddenham One with pStan Batcow & Heffalump Trap with Ceramic Hobs characters & new albums of electronic stuff with Astral Social Club & Simon Hobs, working on Diz Willis & Fes Parker Myspace sites (see friends section), very occasionally putting on Godspunk Promotions gigs in Blackpool, putting out CDRs on MHW when the burner works & hoping to do some random DJing whenever. And doing this.

Bridget Hayden CDR (ROWF16) out now

Recorded at The Bowling Green pub in Manchester on 17th November 2008, when Bridget was on tour with Marcia Bassett, this is a maximal 25-minute set of epic guitar brutalising and deep, moaned vocal incantations. Employing a bow and 'metal' effects pedals, the resulting cacophony is orchestral in scope, rendering almost unreliable the memory of one woman and her instrument. Somewhat akin to Bassett's duo with Matthew Bower, Hototogisu, the deeply layered tones created by Hayden offer, upon first exposure, a somewhat icy auditory experience, but as the recording settles in, the richness and sheer breadth of sound wraps around you like a feather quilt and shifts your perception almost 180 degrees. A truly magnificent set from this former Vibracathedral Orchestra member.

Limited to 80 copies with sleeves printed on recycled paper using soya based ink

    Pay by Paypal to goldenlabrecordings@hotmail.co.uk

    £5.99 (UK)
