C'est une nouvelle orientation pour Phil RIZA.Après avoir jouer en groupe il passe au solo (chant /guitare).
C'est tout d'abord avec la formation Phil RIZA and Roll Band qu'il se produit, avec le répertoire des blues, rock'n'roll et rockabilly classic.Ensuite, sous le nom Phil RIZA avec un répertoire de reprises et réenterprétations. Un disque sous le nom Phil RIZA a été produit en 2007.
Avec tous ces concerts il a pu rencontrer de nombreux musiciens. Lors de ces deux dernières années il a joué avec environ 40 musiciens différents, dans des configurations multiples et diverses: en duo, trio, quartet avec contrebassiste, bassiste, pianiste, guitariste, pedal steel, harmoniciste et batteur.
Rares sont les personnes l'ayant vu deux fois avec la même formation.
De ces expériences, il en retire de bons souvenirs de par la richesse que lui ont amenés chacune de ces rencontres et les voyages qu'il a fait à travers le monde.Au début de l'année 2008, il a fait un tour du monde passant par le Japon, l'Australie, la Nouvelle-Zélande et la Californie.
Phil est reconnaissant de l'aide de chacun et les en remercie chaleureusement.
Il s'est recentrer essentiellement sur ce nouveau concept acoustique. Il lui permet de s'exprimer dans un registre voisin de tout ce qu'il a fait jusqu'à présent. Avec ce nouveau répertoire il rend hommage en grande partie à Merle Travis, et d'autres musiciens qu'ils l'ont inspiré.
Il n'exclue pas les collaborations avec d'autres formations. En ce moment il est le guitariste soliste de Charly and the Mystery Train.(hommage à Elvis Presley des années 50) et Marjorie Perla (country des années 40 et 50).
Il est toujours chanteur/guitariste des Rumblin Tornadoes avec lesquels il envisage, sans doute, de nouveaux concerts.
A new orientation for Phil RIZA. After years of playing in a group he will now perform as a solo musicien (vocal/guitar).
He started with the group Phil RIZA and Roll Band performing blues, rock'n'roll and classical rockabilly. He produced a CD in 2007 under the name Phil RIZA.
During all his concerts he met quiet a number of musiciens. The last two years only he played with 40 different ones in different formations: as duo, trio and quartet with upright bas, guitar bas, pianist, guitarist, pedal steel, harmonicist and drummer.
Only very few people must have seen him in the same formation.
But from all these experiences he kept good memories because of the richness every one of them brought along during all the journeys he has undertaken worldwide.At the beginning of 2008, he made a world tour passing by Japan, l' Australia, New Zealand and California.
Phil is well aware of the way they all helped them and want to tank everybody wholeheartedly for this.
At this moment he concentrates himself at a new concept: acoustic guitar. It allows him to express himself in a style of music very close to what he has been done uptill now. A graet part of it will be dedicated to Merle Travis and other musiciens inspired by him.
Choosing this path does not mean excluding cooperation with other formations/bands. At this moment he is a solo guitarist in the group Charly and the Mystery Train.(tribute to Elvis Presley of the fifties) and Marjorie Perla (country fourties and fifties).
He remains the singer/guitarist of the Rumblin Tornadoes with which he no doubt will have future concerts.
