22 Year old Texas Singer and Songwriter Phil Wallace is just a youngster compared to some of his local heroes he grew up watching. But these days Phil shares the Fort Worth Music Scene Stages with some of the same guys that inspired him as a kid.
On May 30th of 2009 Phil released his first CD titled "Second Place", an acoustic album with a real vivid dark side.
Between Phil's phenomnal songwriting skills and his unique way of gaining the attention of an audience with his incredible vocals..his live shows are not to be missed.
Raised in Fort Worth, Texas Phil Wallace has seen the sights and heard the sounds of Texas Music most all of his life. At age five Phil started playing his Dad's 1960's Artist Ltd. guitar made by Rhythm Band Inc. right here in Fort Worth. Phil did his best to learn every three chord country tune he heard on the radio. At age 7 he started to sing in church most every week and his love for music quickly started to grow. Phil would sing every minute of every day doing his best to sound like the country heroes he had always known such as Merle Haggard and George Jones. At around age 15 Phil started to see the "Texas Singer and Songwriter" movement along with the "Red Dirt" movement really starting to take a strong hold in The Fort Worth Area. He would beg his Dad every monday night to take him down to The White Elephant Saloon to see his local heroes, The Rat Pack (Jordan Mycoskie, Phil Pritchett & Kurt South). Phil recalls sitting amazed at the songs they would sing and the way the crowd was completly taken in by what was happening on the stage. It was at that point when Phil decided music was what he would do for the rest of his life. Now days Phil plays non-stop all over Texas.
