We are the Phi Mu Gainesville (GA) Alumnae Chapter. Phi Mu is a national organization for women designed to create leaders, form bonds, and provide a lasting relationship between its members.
Our organization is an alumnae chapter. We are for members who have graduated college and live in the Gainesville, Georgia area including Hall, Gwinnett, Lumpkin, Habersham, Dawson, White and Forsyth Counties. We provide support to our local collegiate chapter, the Mu Chapter at Brenau Universtiy. This is called our "Heart to Heart" Chapter. We are so proud of Mu and all of its accomplishments and look forward to its 100th anniversary in 2010! Check out their myspace page to look at all the beatiful ladies in our Heart to Heart.
We are SOOOOO proud of our Heart to Heart at Brenau for making quota PLUS THREE during recruitment!!! They currently have 14 beautiful Phis!
Please contact us with questions about Phi Mu or about joining our group! We meet periodically for social events in the Gainesville area. Our Heart to Heart Chapter is Mu Chapter at Brenau University and we love helping them out with recruitment and doing special events with them throughout the year like holiday cookie parties, May Day and Founders Day. Our national philanthropy is the Childrens Miracle Network and we do events to support that charity like National Treat Day in August-buy a treat and Dairy Queen donates the proceeds to CMN (this year it's August 9th). Locally we also assist with the Heart Walk for Hall County along with Mu Chapter. This year it is on September 22nd on the campus of Brenau University.
If you are a non-greek woman seeking a recruitment recommendation, we can write a recommendation for any chapter of Phi Mu that you may be interested in pledging. Recruitment recommendations are often required during some recruitments so please contact us with any questions. Recomendations must be received by the chapter prior to recruitment and it is a good idea to get them to the chapter prior to the start of school.
