Hi. I'm Lindsay. I'm prone to smacking people when they irritate me, I use fuck-words a lot, I say "whatevs" and "fuck beans, folks" no less than 50 times a day, but despite all that, people still like me for some reason.
I will babble your ear off about music (Texas music in general, Bowling For Soup in particular), Harry Potter, roller derby, movies, art, philosophy, Kinko's, the state of the world, Kinky Friedman, quantum physics, beer, road trips, Rocky Horror, making fun of emo kids and scenesters, and graphic design. I would love it if you would return the favor with your favorite topics. I can name that font from 20 paces, yo.
When I'm not too caught up in things, I take pictures for
"I dearly love the state of Texas, but I consider that a harmless perversion on my part, and discuss it only with consenting adults." -Molly Ivins
Reason 426 why I love Texas:
Who I'd like to meet:
I would like to meet new people interested in movies that don't suck, music that doesn't suck, and people who don't suck. I want to meet people that can have a discussion about important and unimportant stuff and not get uppity (read: people who can have differing thoughts and still be grown up enough to discuss without getting mad-just listen to a different point of view). People who like to hang around bars and coffee shops telling stories and yammering on about stuff. People who like to play games and do arts and crafts (viva Papier Mache!). But onto celebrities... I'd like to meet Kurt Vonnegut because he wrote my favorite book, but that won't happen now... Howard Dean because he's passionate about his beliefs. Jello Biafra because-well-he's Jello fucking Biafra (can check him off now! :D). Mel Brooks, Cameron Crowe, Kevin Smith and John Hughes because they make movies I like. JK Rowling just because that would be rad, and anyone else who believes this: "We all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will."
that's funny. and your right, it probably was my fault since she lived with my mom and dad and the teenage aunts until she was 6. we taught her sing "give it away" by the red hot chili peppers and "bohemian rhapsody" by the time she was 2. lol.
Damnit! You beat me to the punch! I was totally gonna hold your batteries hostage *lol* I'm actually off Wed and Thurs and might be up in North Austin one of those days. If I am I'll give ya a txt and see if we can arrange a prisoner exchange.
Yes! The Impossibles! I don't remember if you or somebody else ever requested them, but I was reminiscing with friends about college radio favorites, and "Eightball" popped back into my brain. Consider it yours on 7/14!
So nice to hang with you Friday even if it was only for a short while. I hate the Java Jazz but not as much as you do. See you a week from today for the Army of Freshmen show in Dallas. You ladies have fun at the other 2.
LMAO!!! Jeffy was the one packed our bags that night since I was OUT on your couch. He cannot be trusted. J/K. Wow, those had to be the most random items I had left behind....LOL
