Phlash & Friends 'Deep Electronic Sound' - the 12" vinyl edition

The voice of the people has spoken. Italy’s independent outlet Archive records and French distributor Discògraph have teamed up in order to deliver ‘Deep Electronic Sound’ – a sonic eccentric house affair now on vinyl; previously only available on CD.

It was the earlier part of 2009 when the dance world was hit with the hugely impressive album from London kingpin of underground dance, DJ legend and producer Phil Asher. Experimenting with the rudiments of house music, a new edgier collage of sound from Phil has evolved and generated a refreshing injection of new life into the recent beleaguered atmosphere of house music. Under his guise of Phlash & Friends, the results of ‘Deep Electronic Sound’ has spawned Phil Asher much critical acclaim as well as a span of new fans far and wide. ‘Deep Electronic Sound’ features a stellar line up of collaborators including Dego (4Hero), Mark de Clive Lowe, Zed Bias, OmMas, Orin Walters (BITA), Karizma, Zansika, Alma Horton and others. This brand new offering, a rich eclecticism of musical assortment has an all encompassing bpm range that sits between 118 and 126 – a fetching prospective set of classic dance gems – it already has been fashioned as one of the best all time house albums – period.

2009 - has been a busy year for Phlash with the tremendous success of the Phlash & Friends album party launch that was held at London’s East Village club. He also popped off to the United States to host his WMC party and has found great support and favour from top DJ’s including Louie Vega, Patrick Forge, Gilles Peterson, Benji B, Kev Beadle, Aaron Ross, Claude Monnet, Kenny Dope, Tony Humphries, Spinna, Krivit and many more. To coincide with the limited edition vinyl release of the album which is going into a variety of international records stores late December ’09, A fresh 4-track sampler of cuts taken from it. With two bonus new tracks – the synthesizer meandering and speech laced ‘Puttin’ It Down’ plus the electronica tribal funky roots of ‘Hazy’ – neither tracks are available on the original CD album, plus ‘Do It Up feat. OmMas, and Rich Medina’s poetic delivery on ‘Minatour’.

PHIL ASHER - It may have all come about by accident but the fact remains that Phil Asher is one of London’s undisputed underground House music producers and is nothing short of a legend. Far from being underrated this all round nice guy is considered amongst his peers around the world as one the UK’s best and proficient club DJ turned producers – anything musically he’s put his hand to has seen him receive nothing but accolades of applause. Having amassed a catalogue of hundreds of his own productions, along with clocking up a huge discography of remix and co productions, Phil’s life has never been anything but progressive since 1991, following his first public stint as a DJ at House night Delirium. From then his name has become synonymous with established club nights such as his long running Inspiration Information which he co-hosts with Patrick Forge, to the Soul Heaven parties, the grand CO OP shindigs that were held at Plastic People, regular spots at the Southport Weekenders, to Italy’s Angels of Love plus other gigs throughout Europe, the US, Japan, Dubai, Australia and New Zealand all reinforcing his popularity and demand around the globe.
