I make music... I play stuff in various bands including
MOTHS
and
RYOGA
I'm gonna use this space to audition the odd musical sketch...
I am interested in composing electronic music for film, television and synchronisation... If you are interested in my work then please feel free to message me through this site.
Yeah. I checked out the ryoga stuff already. Pretty. Lastfm is no harder to administer than this cack. Good thing about it though is that there are no limitations on your upload capacity. Entire albums can be uploaded at once and it takes less time for them to become active than on here. If you have a body of work from different projects it's probably best to create a label like we did so that all the artists are under one banner and stats can be accessed easily in your music manager. It takes a while to get used to the workings of the site but once its running just leave it alone and watch the listeners arrive. You can even purchase advertisments but we just did some direct marketing by targeting listeners and informing them of the stuff with a thank you for listening. Our Tri-Stram stuff took off in march and is still going. The guitarist from Korn even liked Seezy Charney and Daveloy Sip and put one of the tracks on his radio. It's a much better community as it's more focussed towards music. If you decide to do it look me up as seezycharney and let me know. I'll give you some hints to help people find your stuff.
Hey Duncan. I listened to your stuff. Excellent. I like the sort of retro sci-fi theme of it. Battle for Europa 12 Reminds me a bit of Vangelis. Very 80's Electro style. I think Valve Fraction is your best tune. It's the most technical. I love some of the filter sweeps. It would fit in a video game perfectly. Night song is the weakest of the bunch but I like some of the string harmonies. It's the brass that I think lets it down a bit. That stuff always sounds wierd and is difficult to use when synthesised. I love the cheesy euro popishness mixed with trance and even a bit of raymond scott on Futura 3000. Deal on Sirrus Xb180 is your second best tune. Reminds me of that early 90's melodic trance that groups like Eat Static and Juno Reactor were doing. Very spacey with a sort of organic gaiaic lifeform feel. Excellent. Think Tank is in the same sort of vein. Reminds me a bit of Dr Alex Patersons' solo stuff when he wasn't doing The Orb.
Great stuff. You should get them on last fm. They've got a royalty scheme starting shortly which pays for plays on their radio. Although we haven't been able to collect them yet we have been earning (If only a little). You don't even have to allow the download because it runs on the number of listens. Cheers
How Dunc liked the new tune, specially the drum beats theresa guy called Hex in me top freinds list you should have a listen to some of his stuff, think you might like it.
